she hasnt been in comics yet i dont think
She will be though, she has been on a cover before though
yea, also a few sw insiders covers lately
“ Bo-Katan who’s being painted as the antagonist of the third season. Bo-Katan sits on a throne and asks Grogu, “ did you think your dad was the only Mandalorian? ”
I think Bo-Katan being the protagonist indirectly adds credence to the theory that the Armorer is Rook Kast. There are two schools of Mandalorian identity that are in conflict this whole time and they need to come to a head. Is Mandalorian a lineage or a creed? Is it a people born of a planet or a people following a dogma? Can they rule only by trial or by virtue? It’s clear there is animosity between the Armorer and Bo-Katan. Bo-Katan was responsible for imprisoning or exiling Rook Kast’s sect.
People can call whatever book she shows up in the “first Comic” but her first appearance will always be Defenders of the Lost Temple “graphic novel”.
Not on the Cover, though!
The way to play a huge print run, yet extremely popular, book is slab ‘‘em and flip ‘em. Pay cover for Cover A, pay regular no rush fee to CGC, and then sell the books for 50 to 60 each (or more if people will pay it). You won’t make Tosin/Miles money but you can get a 20 to 30 dollar profit per book.
Don’t forget we’re talking Marvel and it’s crappy paper. So you’re going to have to hand pick 9.8 potential books. And may even have to press them ($10-$15) or pay for 9.8 screening ($5 ea?). Which means some books will get sent back and that’s pretty much a loss.
So $20 to $30 can get cut down to $10- $20 pretty quickly… not counting the copies that either graded less than 9.8 or were sent back.
Then Uncle Sam takes 30% of your profit.
the crap paper is why i preordered a 1:50 9.8. cover has alot of black
I watched “The Elder” in Star Wars Visions for the first time yesterday and now I’m actually excited to follow that Manga in Big Gangan as well.
Yea I liked the Visions series a lot.
how heavily printed are these? im guessing as a monthly thing they wont be print to order
It’s pretty heavy. These magazines routinely sell multiple hundreds of thousands of copies. This list is for total copies sold across all print runs and it is also highlighting Square Enix’s most popular series, but this might give you an idea:
Lol First appearance of Lego Grogu and Mando. People are going to take sides and it will be interesting the battles on this one.
I’m just here to report the facts, socialize, and eat popcorn !
If we count Lego comics as appearances…because they are stories told on paper with art, what does that make little golden books? Because the first edition of the Mandalorian little golden book predates this Lego magazine.
Isn’t there some mini Lego comics of Mando in the sets like with the Marvel Lego sets, would certainly predate this.
