Well, true but that can be carried over into any position or career where the company owns your work while employed there.
Back in the 70s and prior was all just kids stories, nobody likely knew or thought these would turn into billion dollar revenue movies…
A piece of automation code could turn into a billion dollar idea years or decades from now while I’m working on something at my current employer… I doubt it’ll happen but I know I’ll never get a dime from such things now and never…
