I agree 100%. Claremont had a great & classic run but Morrison killed his run.

I recently bought a really nice high grade set of Amazing Fantasy #7-10. If you want the particulars it’s in this thread and a recent post as well. Needless to say the same seller listed another high grade set of the same thing for $50 including shipping. I of course bought it immediately. It was $8 more than the first set.
I bet he’s scratching his head why they were bought so quickly and by the same person. I also think he undervalued or overlooked AF10’s significance. As he had the two first appearances in AF7 listed in the title and description but not the arguably more important AF10. It’s the more valuable of the two currently as well by double or triple.
This next set was only bought for the variant cover on Deadpool #1. I absolutely love this cover and it’s really hard to find clean with the “white” cover. There seems to always be some staining or color rub along the spine particularly towards the middle. I love it because it’s not only got Elsa Bloodstone in a bikini but the adorable Land Shark Jeff. $14.90 including shipping for Deadpool 1-4.

Yeah I saw that. Same thing with The Hood #1 that I’ve been picking up cheap until recently. It’s unfortunate as I’ve only been able to get 1 copy each in high grade of her first mini series. Stupid me I saw a nice copy of number one come up for $40/OBO about 2 weeks ago when they were selling for twice that. In my cheap ways I made an offer of $30 and it sold within minutes for the full $40 or maybe $35. I’ve gotten good at just pulling the trigger in those instances.
So some more purchases from mycomicshop.com via eBay. They must only list no more than two copies of any book in a certain grade. I would’ve bought more than 2 each of some and have been reordering as they relist some of them.
Stock Photos are being used so I’ll be listing grades. They tend to undergrade by a grade in my opinion. At least everything that I’ve been getting from them has been.

Next is a lot of Avengers Academy books. Including #1, 2, 4 & 5 all in NM Condition since the pics won’t upload. First issue has some first appearances of a few characters. $5.50 shipped.
Last is a book I’ll always pickup if the price is right. New X-Men #134. Total $15.50 shipped.

My first most recent sale was for Amazing Fantasy #1 CGC 9.2. I always try and list what I paid and when just to be thorough and document any gains or losses. This was no longer in my eBay purchase history. I think if I went to the full site I could find it. Instead I knew I posted it here when I bought it back in December 2019. It’s on Page 106 in the CGC Pickups thread. Paid $20 Sold for $150 including shipping.

I aim to at least double my money but usually end up doing much better. My only regret there is the person selling them had like 10 copies for sale at that price. My next sale will be an exception but I still walked away with a bit of profit.
Buyer paid this morning and it’s already on its way. I pride myself on same or next day shipping. This was another recent addition that was bought to sell as their was some meat on the bone with the purchase price being $40 even.
This was one that I’d actually opened an item not received case and was fully refunded by the seller. It the decided to show up without any scans from the postal service until it was ready for pickup. Initially I paid a few dollars more than the $40 but the seller just had me send $40 even through PayPal. Sold Invincible Iron Man #9 1st Print for $55 Shipped.
I have a bunch of pickups from eBay but I’m making a run on a few books so I’m not sharing those until I’ve purchased all I want.
I also have another sale or two which I’ll get to later. Some nice profits made off of eBay books.
I’m going to start with a trip to Ollies. If you have an Ollies please go there as they have a ton of hardcovers and even an omnibus or two dirt cheap. They also have random comic packs but those are usually all gone through by knuckleheads who think stealing is okay. Opening those sealed packs and making your own is stealing so if your a twatwaffle who does that don’t.
The first batch were bought to sell and depending on what some sell for I’ll be making more trips to Ollies. I’m not listing individual prices as their on the books. I will say it was just under $55 including tax.

My wife got me those same 4 batman HC from Ollies. Great place to pick up trades for cheap to read or to flip to people who dont have an Ollies in their area lol

Looks like there’s potential to make anywhere from $5-$10 on some of them. So maybe worthwhile to head back. Gonna sell them first and go from there.
