Anyone who calls Codex dead spec can’t see more than 5 feet in front of their face.
Regardless if he’s Dylan or not, Venom used to be Eddie Brock. The Venom keys have the most value, by far.
Now Codex is about to find out about world 616, which will motivate him to go conquer there too.
I’m raising all of my prices on anything Codex related. IMO, this guy is going to be a major character.
The only question is when? During King in Black or after?

I don’t think Codex spec is dead, virus spec is dead, but the Eddie/Venom comparison doesn’t work.
There’s one Eddie who bonded with the Symbiote. Eddie and Eddie/Venom are both still the same guy.
There’s multiple Dylan’s from different Earths. Dylan and Codex are two different people.
I think most people would’ve prefered Codex as a brand new 1610 character (like Miles). Which is why a lot of people are down on him.
He just has the feel of an intermediate bad guy for a 4 issue arc before the real big bad shows up with Knull in King in Black.
Will see though, I’ve got plenty of Codex books do I hope he is successful.
Are they though? Venom can be any person. Bonded with anyone. Codex IS Dylan. It cNt be swapped (so dar as we know). So saying Codex is someone dif is not a true statement as without Dylan and his “powers” there would not be a Codex.
Codex is 1610 Dylan.
Other Dylan is 616 Dylan.
So yes they are two different Dylans.

They aren’t going to have one person become the exact same thing as another character. It doesn’t make sense to just create two of the exact same character.
Dylan 616 will be something different then Dylan 1610.

Yes ur right. Because Marvel would never create the exact same person in a different role but with the same costume in another multiverse.
Did we miss where the Maker looks like reed richards with the same costume but hes evil and from a different verse? Or maybe we just skip over the entire Ultimates comic line. Or maybe even the upcomig Maestro mini series.

You are making my point. They created a new character with the Maker. He’s not the same as Reed Richards F4.
Hence my point that they are different characters.
Maker first app is Ultimate FF1 and becomes Maker in UF4. His first app isn’t FF1 because it’s Reed from a different Earth.
