Besides rarity, what’s the draw? I do like the cover art on the cover B (that could be part of it).
Is this a good story or is this just a DC book where the only draw is the perceived rarity?

Rarity to a somewhat unique, yet unknown level. This issue was never technically sold. Hugely unpopular and ordered to be destroyed. The mystery is how many exist? 50? 5000? Who knows. The A cover seems to be FAR harder to find than the B.

Decided to go to Walmart and take a look. There were 3 DC packs… 2 older ones and the I Am Batman #1 laying on the bottom. I really can’t believe it but I have been extremely lucky with the Walmart packs.
I pulled Shuri #2 2nd print, x2 Venom First Host #3 2nd print, x2 War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas #1 3rd Print. And now the RWBY #7 CVR A, it was the 2nd book in the 4 pack and has a blueish.purple colored spine.

Looked at 2 Walmarts. New DCs not in yet. Expect a flood of these.

I sold a cover B for $100 today. I’m taking the money and running while these are hot. I just don’t see the long term hold here.

They mentioned the Walmart packs but also said they are not sure where the copies are coming from. Meanwhile people on CHU been selling these for money all week.

I thought they were in the oversized packs…but that looks like the regular ones like marvel.
Found 2 with the B variants.
I am Batman.
Went to Walmart as painful as that is. A few DC packs but not any with the Batman book. None of the packs had spines that looked like RWBY was in there so passed. Picked a couple of Marvel packs up.
Don’t know anything about any of these books.

I checked some Walmarts to zero luck.
The same guy sold RWBY #7 for $1k and $1.8k. That is amazing.
