WalMart Packs - 3Q21

And you also have to look close at the all white spines as many of them have smaller lines on the white and end up being the Avengers 1:10 design variants versus that spidey book.

Not really. Just had to go buy posts of what others had found, look at some pictures of those covers (eBay was best) and through process of elimination make educated guesses.

There are a lot of white spines, in particular the. 1:10 design variants, that are mostly worthless. But those you can see the red or blue grid lines, while ASM55 had random gey webbing. GG13 had solid black webbing so should be easily distinguishable.

I think there was a Momoko Black Knight Virgin variant that is solid white?

Stuff like that you look for.

The newer packs have the orange Walmart sticker on them.
The high ratio variants are only in the newest packs (w/ orange sticker).

If you dont care about the books you get and are just looking for the thrill of unpacking, have at it.

If you are looking for variants - look for an all white spine or a white spine with black tick marks. There are other variants with different colors but I am not sure how to identify these.

The white with black markings could include :
ASM 55 1:50 Gleason,
1:100 Moon Knight 200,
1:1000 Hulk
NON-STOP SPIDER-MAN #1 NAUCK LAUNCH VAR

White with no markings:
Momoko Black Knight 1 Virgin
ETERNALS #1 1:50 BRIAN PELLETIER HIDDEN GEM VARIANT.
Xmen 1:5 titles (storm, Kitty pryde, colossus, etc.)
MATCH THE MARKINGS WITH THE PIC SCANS ON THIS FORUM OR ELSEWHERE !

The white with uniformly spaced grid-like markings would be the ‘design variants’.

Also, a purple spine with yellow splotches along it is the 1:200 Eternals 1 Kirby Crackle variant.

The above are some indicators that could help you identify some of the variants (no guarantees !!) without tearing the wrapping. Many packs have books of no value (except for the reading fun of course !).

You can then return the unopened packs to Walmart for a refund.

I have found the ASM 55, the Momoko Black Knight Virgin, the 1:50 Eternals 1, the Non-stop Launch Spiderman 1, and the Kirby Crackle.

Good luck !

It’s always a gamble going into any Walmart
even if you’re not buying comics

Go off peak hours
Also, these books are on either one of the far aisles near the checkout lane counters (where the Sport cards, Pokemon, collectibles, etc, are !).

So in all fairness, you can be in and out fairly quickly, and avoid the crowds also. I havent seen these packs lately, just the older stuff; I guess people are gambling on the packs. Besides some of the packs I lucked out with variants, I bought another three that did not have anything of worth in them. So I gave up and quit while I was ahead.

Never going to happen. Government will split it up. There’s no monopolies that big allowed and anyways, Amazon is far ahead
Plus Target is better and cleaner!

Disney will consume all of them eventually

Is that Joe Montana?

We all joke about Walmart being a strange place, but I ya’ll don’t even know the story of when my wife and I were subtly propositioned by a Walmart employee for a three-way. We went in one entrance/exit, shopped for stuff, and then when we were leaving we went to the other entrance/exit and she happened to be there now. We said, “Oh, they moved you another way?” and she said, “Yeah, I always enjoy going both ways.” Then it was mentioned her shift would be over in a couple of hours if we happened to come back to the store
I would assume in her mind to pick her up for a three-way. It was flattering, but my wife and I don’t bring outside parties into our bedroom–no judgment to any who do as I’m extremely sex-positive/open/inclusive. I just think it was a little inappropriate to proposition customers at your store.

My wife and I made the mistake of heeding the announcement of a kitchen knife demonstration at a super center. We crowded around for a show of these apparently incredibly knives and the awkward pitch to buy them at the end. We were all crowded around waiting for the free paring knife that was promised at the end of the presentation.

There were crickets when the crowd was asked who would like to buy a set. Then one decrepit looking ghoul with one tooth to his name spoke up “anybody want to go in on a set together!? You can keep everything, all I want is that boning knife!”

I still can’t believe I said this, but I turned my head towards him and said “yeah, I bet, psychopath.” I grabbed the paring knife off the table before they were handed out and hot footed out of there.

We still use that paring knife to this day almost 8 years later. When we first moved in together, it was the only kitchen knife we had. I’ve seen my wife completely dice a watermelon with it. In all fairness, it’s an incredible knife and I bet the rest of the set was pretty good too.

Only if they eff with the government. As long as they keep prices low, sell a lot of different stuff, and keep paying low wages, they are going to be king.

And that’s every reason why you shouldn’t shop there. They treat their employees like garbage
that’s the other reason I don’t shop there.
