They have pulled back grads in the past.
They remove the books from their census so if you look up the serial number it is like it is a fake or no-grade.
This is why convention booths should limit to 1 per customer on exclusives and not be allowed to sell anything until the convention floor is actually open. If a retailer wants a copy, they get to stand in line with the rest of us to get their copy instead of having others gobble up copies for them to jack the price up at the same convention 30 minutes later.
Iâm so done with convention exclusives myself. This isnât anything new, saw this same bullshit at the last NYCC I attended, where retailers who had floor access before the general public were buying up all the exclusives and then raising the prices before the general public could get a copy themselves.
Buy what you like but Iâm done with convention exclusives (thatâs if I ever make it back to another convention).
Sorry but his excuses do not float.
âNot sure I they owned the plates and reprinted them themselves or if they added the coversâ
Yeah, they do not âown the platesâ
âIf they skipped in line that is between them and the person who let them skipâ
âThey took huge financial risksâ
âNo one talk about the losses we takeâ
âCome on man this is a business, what happened if they missed out on the sales, its a businessâ
But you already said they sold the cover previouslyâŠ
Come on, none of that is the real problem,
Whole video was cringy, even pulled the âwell what about these guys who did thisâ
Not even sure why people want this exclusive anyways⊠itâs Fscking Ugly As Fsck anywaysâŠ
We the people of the comic book community can control whatâs hot and whatâs not by just simply not buying this bullshit merchandise!
And if its true that they just stapled on a plastic cover on an old book then I really dont get why people want it.
I know nothing about that book or much at all about those people but aside from what people are saying about them what is the appeal of the book itself? Just that itâs Clayton crain and 750 copies?
The books are selling briskly on ebay for about $200-300 and the CGC 9.9 posting has also ended.
Because thereâs a lot of people on eBay who spend their money in really stupid waysâŠ
All I know is, Dinesh from Bad Idea is probably crying right now on why he didnât think of this ideaâŠ
And if the buyers decide to open cases for âfraudulent itemsâ the sellers could be in serious trouble
Gem Mint is a tool. What is with these low life youtubers looking like homeless scum ?
Hey now⊠letâs not go that far, homeless people are way better than these clowns!
What I want to know is what âexclusiveâ producer is going to have the b@lls to try to blow out unsold inventory by slapping a wrap on it next.
Looking at you TCMâŠ
I just asked @Anthony if he had any boxes of old CHU exclusives lying around we could do the same thing with⊠haha⊠Iâm sure Anthony would love some new Jeep accessories while I could use a new bucket, maybe one with an actual seat and lid on itâŠ
Hilarious watching the majority of these clowns attempt damage control. Backtracking, stories donât mesh with reality. Itâs pretty simple, have a basic moral compass and understand the difference between right and wrong. All the rest of the talk is just smoke and mirrors trying to get folks to steer clear of the facts of the matter.
Everyone knows that this shady stuff goes on, but when you flaunt that shady stuff right in front of folks and rub their noses in itâŠwellâŠthis is the result.
Donât you think the controversy around this will only increase the demand for it? This looks hideous IMO, and even if it was a legit Marvel product, I donât think Iâd pay $5 for it. But, if people think they can take advantage of a this and make a few bucks, they surely will.
When it comes to making money, most peopleâs morals are thrown out the window⊠so let them do what they want, thereâs no stopping them to be honest but I myself, my moral compass would tell me to skip and move on (which I do most of the time).
Anyone want to buy my Captain Carter #1 Acetate variant? Freshly stapled to order
