I always wonder, is it the artist or stores that commission the homages. Like does comic mint hit up inhyuk like “hey we wanna do an exclusive by you but we need it to be a homage or parody of asm 361”

I don’t even think your allowed to speak with the artist on marvel exclusives or have any input. From my understanding they give you a list of names you pick the artist and you dont know what you’re getting ahead of time. I imagine there’s some bending of the rules stores develop relationships with certain artists.

I guess we don’t all hate store variants. I tried to buy the Trinity Something is Killing the Children. Started at 4pm central. I was through checkout and hit purchase before the clock hit 4:01.
No luck. Sold out. I’d bet I was through checkout within 20 seconds of it going live.
They should put limits and that would allow others to get a chance. Even if it was a temporary limit it’d help.
I didnt even try. Its gotten ridiculous.

They had a 1 per person limit. I’m guessing bots zipped in and grabbed these.

Would them doing a captcha help?
They are going to try to make it password protected for the facebook group next time, I guess. It seems like so few people got these. Guessing they’ll find a few that skirted the rules somehow.
