Games over, folks…
I’ma stack paper and wait.
Like villain spec goes anywhere anyway…(exceptions being Star Wars and GIJoe).
I ordered a couple of cover A. I’ll wait for these ratios to show up in the Walmart packs…
and yet, when it comes down to it, doubtful that anyone will really care, avoid the product, or do a single thing about it (what can anyone really do to begin with). Masses will still buy these books.
I wish somehow the actual folks/artists/brands would crack down on this and somehow regulate it better. All about the money though.
Interesting snippets.
I purchase, perhaps, 1 or 2 store variants per year so I am completely oblivious to what goes on behind the scenes with new books; when I hear so and so has printed more; it’s not really 1000 copies, etc… etc…
Very disingenuous content it seems
Yeah I never trusted IGC . They’re one of those stores who say they “destroy copies to get around marvel or DCs minimum” and never provide proof
Sounds like a disgruntled employee. He should have produced evidence that the extras weren’t being destroyed. This all looks fine to me:
April
Star Wars Bounty Hunters Alpha #1 - limited to 800 and 1100 were printed.
The Marvels #1 - limited to 700 and 850 were printed.
July
Moon Knight #2 - limited to 400/600 and 700/1000 were printed.
These are emails requesting the graphic design print COAs.
The implication is that they need more COAs because they are selling more copies than advertised.
Only problem is they have to be destroying a majority of the books to get these numbers. Which no retailer I know would do. They just say they destroy them and slowly sell them.
I’m with you, and I would assume most retailers aren’t destroying books.
I’ve had places send me replacements with new COAs which aren’t numbered.
People that sell store exclusives are more shady than a flakka dealer in a Florida alley.
What the hell is flakka lol
Search flakka zombies on YouTube
Do they number their COAs? What’s the point of they don’t? Obviously they could create two COA’s with the same number, but that’s begging for trouble when two show up on eBay with the same #’d copy…hard evidence could mean a lawsuit brought upon you by state prosecutors.
Never bought a book from them, never will.
Never trusted “COAs” anyway…they do nothing for me. Buy what you like, but not because someone tells you it’s “limited”.
If anything is not numbered +/- handsigned, then don’t trust the numbers. Anything can go on in the background. Even limited production statues that were numbered were taken off the production line and sold. There will always be people willing to make a quick buck.
I did watch IGC live unboxing on instagram of their Moon Knight #1 exclusives and did see them rip the covers off of several copies that they said did not meet their standards and said they would be reading copies. Now of course this could all be for show but wanted to confirm they destroyed at least a few that didnt look that bad to me.
You got to understand many statues sideshow sells are from a studio in Wuhan and sideshow gets a set number of pieces to paint and sell in North America from them meanwhile the Chinese studio owns the distribution rights for that statue in the Asian markets. So sideshow may say this statue is limited to 2000 pieces but the studio producing the statue has free reign to make as many as they can and distribute through Asia for as long as they want. Same with Prime1. I buy all my statues direct from Wuhan now through a contact I made in China on eBay they are usually about 1/3-1/2 the price sideshow or prime1 is selling them for. They come unnumbered but the same everything else so you could write a number on it if you wanted.
