We all hate store variants but

If you look at Marco Turini’s (NSFW) Instagram account, you know he’s well known for painting sexy ladies. Well, nothing’s changed with his next Star Wars Unknown Comics exclusive:

Myarga, the Benevolent, in all her feminine glory!

To quote someone I knew in college who wasn’t admittedly the most stand-up guy, “They all look the same in the dark.”

Black Sheep referred to those as “Strobelite Honey’s”

Yep, I have been collecting Sideshow for years. Same for numbered COA in comics, it’s just a number you can rewrite. That’s why we kept a running sale thread in the forums with numbers of statues already sold, so we could track counterfeits.

The factory does not have free reign to make as many as they want, Sideshow controls and keeps the original molds and they make it very clear in their contract with them that no more are made except the ones specified by them. The factories who overproduce do it in breach of contract,

Wow, didn’t know Prime 1 had such a huge loophole. That’s lame I have quite a few Prime 1 statues. Prime 1 is not the one making these as it undercuts their own statues.

As folks have noted in other threads, Carla Cohen is on fire right now. Love this one from Bird City on sale today.

This is one of those covers where the basic trade dress version looks better than the “upgraded” color splash one.

Had to throw this out in the variant store thread. Unknown throwing a hissy fit and then asking for empathy. But hey, their state governor has COVID-19 and is getting a third booster shot.

Sorry ya’ll, had to get it out there.

People get all riled up about their freedoms over forced vaccinations to return to work, meanwhile mandated employment drug testing is just fine and not a violation of your rights at all.

Yes, now I know I don’t have to ever look at Unknown’s site now. Thanks for sharing.

It is a choice. And if your choice is to not protect yourself and others, then it is event organizer’s rights to tell you that you’re not allowed in. They are exercicing their freedom of choice… how about that?

Could not have said it better myself!!

The basic principle of safety is sadly a complex thing for some people to comprehend.

People dont have any issue with vaccines mandated in ALL schools, with religious & medical exemptions, but seem to have an issue with the COVID vaccine. The issue has just been politicized, especially in Texas and Florida. Same with masking ! Dont know why these governors dont rescind seat belts and speed limits too; you know because people know better  I understand vaccine hesitancy, but I dont understand the misinformation.
Make a big deal about the FDA, but then ingest a bunch of supplements that are not FDA approved.

I applaud the efforts being made at NYCC. It is in part due to all the misinformation out there that these kinds of measures are required. People have the right not to attend for their own personal reasons and that’s fine. What is not okay is to marginalize others with the opposite viewpoint in an effort to deride them.

Hey as long as these people keep it up, I have an excuse to work remotely indefinitely, so it ain’t all bad

Ain’t no way I’m going back into the office unless vaccines and masks are mandated.

Miss me with all that freedom BS. Ain’t nobody free out here.

He even admits he had COVID-19 in December. He’s fine going to the hospital and taking up resources, but oh no, not a mask! Sorry, at this point in a pandemic that now has children on ventilators, this kind of viewpoint needs to be called out.

Here is where I think people get mixed up: yes, it’s your choice whether or not to get the shot, but it is not your RIGHT to attend whatever private events, businesses, or even public governmental locations while unvaccinated. These things unvaccinated people are being restricted from are PRIVILEGES. Privileges may be conditioned upon performance of certain prerequisites. Think of driving. Driving is a privilege. You may drive, but first you need a license, you need to get your car registered, you need to obey the rules of the road. This is pretty basic constitutional law stuff.

Is it sad people are losing their job for not getting vaccinated? Sure. But working is also a PRIVILEGE. The free market proponents out there have made sure of that. You’re either for private businesses making their own decisions about employment or not. If you want to keep that particular job, get the jab. If not, it’s a privilege you can give it up and find another job more fitting for your beliefs.

DISCLAIMER: These aren’t political beliefs in this response. This is established constitutional law that all law students learn (and all high school kids probably should learn to some degree). It’s not even controversial split-court decisions. It’s pretty middle of the road stuff that Justice Thomas and Justice Kennedy agreed on.

This is comic tom level BS, worried about legal action from being a vendor at a con?!?

I know people don’t have to be too competent to own a comic shop but Unknown is not some mom and pop shop.
