Unknown has a right not to attend. But I think it is bad business to post the reason for not attending. The reason I try to keep politics off here is it is bad for business. Period. I like all you guys, your comic views are A-OK with me. But I don’t care about your religion, politics, or favorite local sports team.
I love it when people loudly proclaim how misguided they are. Now I have a good reason to skip shopping at Unknown going forward.
My favorite NBA team is the Mavericks and you will love them @anthony, love them! But I did wear my old school Orioles Cal Ripken #8 t-shirt on the jog this morning with the dog, I know you being in Baltimore can appreciate me being an Orioles fan…
I had Covid in the beginning and chose not to be vaccinated. It’s my choice. I have had one co-worker that died soon after getting vaccinated from a blood clot to his heart. Another no has a filter in his leg to catch blood clots before they spread throughout his body. So there is a risk.
There’s risk in everything but the few who have had issues with vaccines is far and few over than the good that vaccines do in preventing people from getting sick, landing themselves in the hospital and even dying as well. Yes it’s a choice as long as you realize and accept why you’re not included in the rest of society who are vaccinated and our activities.
I once worked for a local sporting goods store. The owner came to me, a lowly salesman, and asked if he should make a public statement about some local political issue du jour. I told him that it was my opinion that he could only hurt his business by saying his view on the matter one way or another. Whether people agreed or disagreed with him, he’d split his customer base and many would likely never come back. Right or wrong, taking a political position tied with your business will usually hurt.

- Reports of death after COVID-19 vaccination are rare . More than 357 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through August 16, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 6,789 reports of death (0.0019%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. FDA requires healthcare providers to report any death after COVID-19 vaccination to VAERS, even if it’s unclear whether the vaccine was the cause. Reports of adverse events to VAERS following vaccination, including deaths, do not necessarily mean that a vaccine caused a health problem. A review of available clinical information, including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records, has not established a causal link to COVID-19 vaccines. However, recent reports indicate a plausible causal relationship between the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine and TTS, a rare and serious adverse event—blood clots with low platelets—which has caused deaths pdf icon[1.4 MB, 40 pages].
So, deaths after vaccine (and not all are directly tied to the vaccine being the cause) is only 0.0019% of all vaccinations.
While the COVID current death toll is 4,399,288 deaths. I’ll take that vaccine now please!
I know 2 people that had blood clots kill them after taking the vaccine, but they weren’t considered a death due to the vaccine. I respect anyone’s choice, and I think wearing a mask is a good practice going forward.
Wearing a mask is just common courtesy in my opinion. It’s like letting someone out or into your lane while driving or opening the door for someone. You protect yourself while protecting others. I just don’t get the anti-mask people. Unless you have a medical reason for not wearing a mask, spouting “Mah Freedums” is not a good reason to not wear a mask in public.
So, what is hot in the comic world?
Yes back in the world of comics, does anyone know tfaw release schedule for their exclusives this week?
10am PST for TFAW exclusives, if I remember correctly.
Edit: yesterday was slightly earlier
Weird of them to released these so far after the mini series ended. It was a fun read but none of these are really wowing me
Definitely a no buy for me but had to share for those who might like it.
This one
I can count on one hand the number of times I actually made it to Oregon.
