Yup… verify what you have before selling. I could see if they thought it was a 1 per store type of thing but that’s why you check if you weren’t aware of the product. And if you didn’t verify, and knew it was a store’s exclusive, you got zero effing class selling it… consider yourself a effing scumbag!

It’s shit like this that will come back to haunt you… like you hear those stories where the ATM machine spits out way more money than you requested and the people think they can keep it. Yeah, well, the bank finds out and makes you pay it back… IT’S NOT YOURS! People do stupid things… Retailers who are selling this exclusive are being STUPID and they have zero excuses if caught!

Big oof on Diamond. And shame on other stores selling them if they knew they were someone else’s exclusive. (If some people legitimately didn’t know and thought they were the 1:25 then that’s understandable. But with the other store’s name on the back I don’t know how you’d miss that.)

so now Black Cape is having to do a different reprint so they can actually give their customers the limited collectible they ordered. Just really shitty work on Diamond’s part.
What’s going on here? Was this pre-sold as a 500 print run and now they decide to increase it by 40% to 700 after they see strong demand? Or was a print run never specified originally?
Since both the Bird City Comics & Stray Dogs communities have shown so much love, Image granted us a print run increase from 500 to 700!
This is why retailers use the words… “Limited to” instead of saying print run… nothing is stopping anyone from ordering/printing more…

It’s because bots bought most the books so customers were upset they didn’t get a chance to purchase.

You MUST have a valid account and login to our BirdCityComics.com website (you can NO longer check out as a guest, so get this done ASAP).
One per customer (if you already have an existing pre-order, you are NOT eligible to buy another copy - any duplicate orders will be canceled).
Lastly, please keep in mind, this is still a very limited print. As much as we would love for everyone to get a copy, it is simply not possible. Be cool peeps, we promise more good stuff is coming!

Then felt like i completely overpaid 3mins after hitting the complete purchase button.

I’m not normally a grammar correctness enforcer for others but geez, if you’re gonna send out emails and marketing stuff promoting the new CHARACTER in the comic you’re selling, at least spell CHARACTER correctly…
