Hell now I can’t unsee it
Tyler Kirkham Star War Crimson Reign #1 exclusive
That’s a fun cover! Love the homage!
lol. The ONLY character in comics that this sneakerhead variant made sense for was Miles Morales. This is so sad.

I won’t say only….but there isn’t a character farther from a match than billionaire Bruce Wayne.
This Facsimile Edition reprint of Marvel’s Conan the Barbarian #1 , originally published in 1970, has a very special variant cover reproducing the original movie poster from 1982 by legendary movie poster artist Renato Casaro, featuring character likenesses from the film.
Inside is the original comic written by Roy Thomas with art by Barry Windsor-Smith
Total production for this variant will be limited to 3000 copies worldwide.
I don’t understand how they can call it a facsimile if the original cover is not replicated…
Technically none of them are “facsimiles” if they have a $3.99 price tag and unique bar code, but they call it what they want to sell copies…
Don’t get me wrong, I still like them. I wish they’d come out with more popular ones, though. Some of the choices I’m left scratching my head.
There’s no demand for this. Price will fall for them to move inventory.
It’s called… let’s reprint a product we sold 4 decades ago for 30 cents and charge $3.99 or $4.99 to make up for all those 4 decades of inflation on what we should have made on these… we have to put in zero effort for the creation of these and we’ll laugh all the way to the bank!
I admit though, I’ve picked up a few facsimile’s as well… they’re neat but to those paying premiums for them (now and the future) are what I’d consider, crazies!
Turini is sure making the exclusive cover rounds lately.
Lot’s of covers from him…
Still tired of ice cream man, haha, dept of truth exclusives. It’s all I see in my Facebook groups. I still don’t care if it’s super limited. If anyone has clz, go ahead and look those up by series and see how many covers there are. It is insane
I like them but I stopped buying them… I didn’t even bother with Dept Truth… after reading the first issue I was like… meh, Tynion has yet to win me over with his writing.
Dept of truth didn’t wow me either. I had some hopes for it too, but it just didn’t do anything for me. And nobody really talks about the book itself. They only push the covers. I enjoy a good story anyway over a cover
I’m a fan of DoT, Ice Cream Man, and Stray Dogs. I’m just not buying any new books with a bunch of exclusives. I’m a bit of a snob now, but inflated print runs and paying a large premium for the better cover isn’t my thing anymore.
