I used to buy crystal Pepsi as a kid. I really am tempted to buy a stranger things new Coke to see what that tastes like.
Bueller is the only one I semi-regularly watch. He shops in one of our stores and back in the old days when we all worked from things called âofficesâ and left the house it was fun talking with him if I happened to run into him while going to our store for some reason.
Iâll have to check out some of the channels in here. Been meaning to look into maybe sponsoring some people or helping them out with prizes or something on YT/Twitch.
If you guys ever want to sponsor a written blog or have a little ad in the corner of my site just holler at me.
Bueller was the guy who put me on to yall⊠the $1 back issues he always got. Iâm like howbisbhe buying these books soooo cheap and whatâs a Things from another world.
I came across this video late last night, and it kinda put a smile on my face. The kids genuine enthusiasm and excitement are warming to the heart, imo.
Kid Kollector ComicsâŠthis hobby may not be as doomed as some think it is.
Do yourself a favour and watch the reaction, towards the end of the video (6:15), on the kids face when he finally reveals the first slab in his collection. Itâs also quite funny listening to him talk about the first time he saw a slab.
This is Landon Brown and heâs 14 years old. Itâs incredible the amount of knowledge and passion heâs gained in just a few short months. Incredible kid who is trying to buy his dad a Hulk 181. He is great!
I bounce around the channels when I get bored. The shows I will check out are Economics in Comics, Comics with Bueller, Tales From the Flipside, 3 Comic Monte, Pop Culture and a few others.
As long as they donât sort of turn into a âbraggingâ type video, than I like many of the ones you all posted. I hate when they go on & on about ânot really sure what itâs worthâŠnot really sure what I paidâŠnot sure why this is hot but I got it for a quarterâ. Crap like that annoys me.
Do all kids come with an IH181?
I may have to reconsider my no breeding stance if that is the case. âŠcan you return the kid after you get the IH181? That may be my best route.
According to most google searches, " The cost of raising a child until age 17 is $233,610 on average."
Youâre better off just buying the Hulk 181 directly. Doesnât require as much attention and care either, will never puke on you, talk smack to you⊠itâs really a no brainer if you ask me.
Thinking Critical and Comics, by Perch I also enjoy
I actually donât watch any videos on YouTube. Not recently and itâs usually nature documentaries when I do.
There are a lot of great youtube channels out there. Gary Nusser is one of my favorites but I like to watch Comichead84, Jernoâs Comics and pop culture, Mercenaut has some great finds, Mister Miracle comics, Jim comics, Johnâs comics with Kids, Batavenger, Silver-aged dave, and so many more. Of course everyone knows Bueller, Reggie, and lord of the long box. If you like mystery boxâs being opened you have Stevie B comics, Comicfoo2814, and Michael Acri. Vincru12000, Alex the comic hoarder, Nighttiger comics, Bubâs comics and Beauty comics have great collections. Great auctions with Meta4ickal Komikz, whodat comics and movies and Thunder God comics. I watch more than my share of youtube while I work.
There are so many amazing content creators out there, thereâs not enough time in the day to keep up with the weekly output. We live in an incredible time where we have these outlets, sites such as CHU and peeps on YouTube. Information is out there to not only keep people informed, but cultivate and continue the passion of new and existing hobbyists.
I do we a weekly show with Jernoâs (Chris) called Comic Book Cannon. Give it a watch live every Friday 9pm ET/6pm PT if your schedule allows!
I like to watch videos of people buying collections and flipping through the books Pop Comics is a good one for that. His voice annoys me but he buys a lot of stuff I like.
Anyway, I have seen more and more videos of people buying collections of comics off Facebook marketplace and going through them and they have absolutely no idea what is of value and what is not. One guy I just finished watching just went through three boxes of absolute junk, and not in good condition, and listening to him over and over again saying he hopes he finds a key, and maybe he has already flipped past one, and let him know in the comments. Said he was going to look them all up in KCC and find out.
I guess my problem is, who are these people buying all this junk and they donât even know what has value and what doesnât. I feel like most people on here have a fairly good knowledge of what sells and what doesnât.
Is this left overs from the trading card hobby? Guy literally keeps saying that âall these books will be on his next whatnot saleâ
I just donât get it.
I like when Very Gary flips through collections, heâs pretty knowledgeable. I watch it and see if I can call out the key before he does or catch ones he missed. It keeps me sharp lol
The one I just watched the guy started talking about how he only just got into comics when his grandfather gave him his collection. And this guy is now out there buying collections and selling on whatnotâŠâŠ.
He found a book and said âthis one looks brand newâ and it was missing top right corner. Said a clean and a press and send this one off for gradingâŠ. Even after a clean and a press it is missing a corner.
My favorite line had to be he called a series âWolverine by Nightâ.
Sorry for the rant. In the office and sick. I just donât understand some people in this hobby.
I think that could be said in just about every hobby⊠everyone has to start somewhere right? Maybe they should wait to create videos when they pick up more knowledgeâŠ
