What Movies are you watching?

I only ever watched season 1 of True Detective and I’m told this is revealing it is a sequel of sorts or such? Is that true?

I don’t think the different seasons are connected in anyway. Just a new story each season. This season is set in Alaska and involves a scientific research facility.

Just finished watching Shameless on Netflix, man some episodes hit home hard… Really good show

I finally got around to watching the Marvels on D+… I can’t even give it a D+. It was worse than I thought it would be and I wasn’t expecting much at all. I should have shut it off when it got to the planet of Broadway showtunes. At least the first ten years of the MCU was good.

I’ve been wanting to watch it.

Slow Horses on Apple is great. Gary Oldman is in it which should be enough reason to watch it and it’s binge worthy. Recently watched the Beastie Boys Story also on Apple is a must watch.

“American Fiction,” is superb. I read the book it is based somewhat on years ago and like the flick even more.

If you like horror flicks…whew…“When Evil Lurks” is a good one.

Does have subtitles but I recommend it. Not for the squeamish though.

agreed, definitely worth checking out for modern horror.

Watched Ricky Stanicky (came out today on Amazon Prime). Fcking hilarious movie. John Cena deserves an Oscar.

Saw “Dune Part Two”…I enjoyed it, well done, great visuals, acting, sound. Maybe I was just tired but I don’t know that I feel like it was quite as worthy of the “OMG, picture of the year”, hype I’ve seen though.
Perhaps because I know the story/predictable as to the events, and I didn’t necessarily hate the 80’s version. I feel like I even liked Part One better than part 2. I’m likely the exception on this which I’m ok with. In the end, it still was better than most things I’ve seen of late so I shouldn’t complain. Certainly some awesome scenes that were best on the big screen.

I am having an 80’s horror day. Just watched Return of the Living Dead and now watching Night of the Demon (I haven’t seen it before)

Both solid movies.
I watched Night of the Creeps again last night. Great little’80s horror-comedy with Tom Atkins delivering one of the best cheeseball lines in history. “Well girls, the good news is your dates are here. The bad news is, they’re dead.”
