I enjoyed Weapons. It was crazy and went in directions I didn’t expect.
Just finished the Long Walk. Pretty good, so much character development.
I expected a lot more. Especially in regard to the kids. The last 15mins were great though
I thought it was great and not sure what else they could do in 2 hour window. That’s a lot of kids and conversation to sort through. Also happy that it does not mirror the book.
Kept me interested and yes, the last 20-30 minutes were absolutely fantastic
Just finished watching weapons, Not what i expected and the movie is a bit of a mess with some WTF moments. I liked companion and barbarian better.
Together is a good body horror movie I would recommend.
WAY late to the party but finally watched Superman and have to say it was overall pretty damn good. Really felt like a comic brought to life, made me smile and feel like that kid who started reading comics 30+ years ago by the end of it. Felt like they tried to capture the spirit of those 80s 90s DC books I grew up reading while trying to add some obviously more modern flair. Terrific and Krypto stole the show for me honestly. Also, “That hair cut should be against your vows”, good one Lois ![]()
I’ll be watching the new Daniel Day Lewis movie out this weekend on Sunday.
I’m going just because Lewis is the GOAT for male acting… and Sean Bean I like too…
“Bring Her Back” just hit on HBO Max.
Wife & I liked it. Pretty creepy, un-nerving, but for a horror film… better than many.
Also fairly deep themes focused on loss & grief.
If you enjoy horror, thrillers, give it a shot.
I like the creative team who did it. Haven’t watched it yet. They did “Talk to Me”
Just finished Black Rabbit on Netflix. Really good show.
Oh…also, the series “TASK” on HBO is fantastic. It’s a bit of a slow burn with some major character development so try to hang in there past the first episode.
Brilliant acting.
watching peacemaker season 2. a bit over the top but lots of fun.
Watched it last night. Slow burn but creepy. Good movie.
Nightmares of Nature on Netflix is an interesting take on Horror and Nature. Looking past that it’s not super accurate it’s still really good.
One Battle After Another! It was fantastic and also has an amazing OST from Jonny Greenwood.
“Good Boy” movie (currently in theaters)
Such a damn good movie.
Kinda amazing what one can do with love, effort, care, and great storytelling with virtually no budget.
Highly recommended.
Really old movie at this point, but one I’ve always enjoyed.
The main reason I bring it up is that for years it has been nigh impossible to watch aside from owning a hardcopy
A bunch of distribution battles & such kept it from airing/streaming. I always wondered why it wasn’t available on Disney Plus and that was the reason (as it was a Disney release in the 80s).
Something Wicked This Way Comes.
Certainly the book by Bradbury is better than the adaptation, but it is still pretty well done for the time.
It’s a bit dated of course, but it worth a viewing if you haven’t seen it. Especially given the Halloween season.
Saw Good Fortune last night. I recommend it, great movie, some laugh out loud moments.
halloween recommendation. Inside the french version.
