I plan to get everything preloaded when I do my show. Thinking either next Wednesday (not tomorrow) or maybe Monday. Would do it around lunchtime. Hmmm.
Show was meh. It’s been down hill since my first show which was amazing. My buy in in all the books was super low so I didn’t lose money but I def could have sold most for more on eBay, although that’s a waiting game. Thought my mystery packs were a good deal $25 for 1 key worth about $20 plus a 1 in 10 chance to win a 9.8 slab, but it was like pulling teeth getting people to buy
Hope you guys have better luck!
I missed it I am sorry. Had baseball tonight.
I am running another show Friday at 11.
Also remember that your show times may have to account for both east coast and west coast times.
But this contradicts now what you said the other day… where you don’t recognize other “timezones”… Muahahahaha… okay, I’m sorry. I’ll go huddle back in my corner now!
Meme should be “please don’t smite me”
Heh, reminds me of the line in Moana, “Do you want to get smited? Smote?”
Well, it’s happening…
I’m especially proud of my silly promo video!
I wish @anthony would put rum in my coffee… all I get is an extra boot to the ass to wake me up…
If anyone wants to join me I will be love at 11.00 PM Eastern (NYCC Miles) with some Miles Morales Spider-Man, Ultramega and more.
You heard it right, everyone. Anthony love at 11pm on whatnot…
You know it
Well thanks David for joining. I am still trying Whatnot but feels like the steam is out of the sales (sails) on the platform. I know it’s still early for it but at least I am moving books that are just sitting on other platforms. It’s the tough part about it, take the money and run or play the long game on eBay and Mercari.
I hope my first sale goes well even if there are a lot more sellers these days and the steam train of sales is chugging ahead slower. I figured I’d have a big launch sale then I’ll do smaller shows after (with the occasional bigger show) and just have it as another resource for selling. I want to do it big for my debut tho!
I will be there for you. I will watch. Mel V is doing a show today live from NYCC that should be interesting.
I guess the thing that makes it so I likely won’t buy off Whatnot is the timing… I like to buy things on my time (that’s the beauty of the internet, browse and shop whenever). When it’s a specific time set by the seller that they are selling items, that just doesn’t work for me most of the time.
I saw that…but forgot to set a timer. His start time was 11:38 (?). saw he was flipping some Canto NYCc books and thought might grab one…dang.
one thing I’m noticing and have already gotten tired of is the used car salesman approaches and hyping other folks that are apparently in the ole “circle of trust”. I understand why they are doing that…but I just cancel out.
I’m there to look at, and buy comics, not hear a bunch of “Shout outs” and “heyyyyy girl (or guys)” while they try to get on the good graces of some of the big media stars (at least in their minds they are stars).
List the damn book, and sell the damn book. I’m fine with some chit chat/fun banter while the sales are going…that’s not my issue.
I tune out whenever the seller complains that the book sold for too low, or the “come on guys” banter to try and get a higher selling price. I also kind of hate it when the seller says something like “what a steal” when it actually isn’t.
That does sound like it would be annoying. If I was watching a seller and they started complaining live that a book sold for too low while on the “air”, I’d just quit right there and turn them off. That just sounds classless and tacky.
