Who is the guy on X-men #12?

In this issue, a diagram is shown that helps distinguish the markings for different summoners. It also explains what they are capable of doing. Furthermore,
it shows how many are still in existence. There have been 3 High Summoners and there are now 2. We know the High Summoner’s mother is War and his grandfather is Apocalypse. Perhaps, his father is the other “High Summoner” (that still lives) and he will be introduced soon as well. Maybe one of the Sword Bearers? This was a great issue full of so much content.

I expect issue #2 to start increasing soon too. You can see the High Summoner on many covers throughout the story. I mean as long as he doesnt die, I can see him being one of a handful of new characters that we will see in future X books.

Yeah, #2 I think was plentiful. Big relaunch of X-Men after HOX and POX got people excited and it’s been plentiful until it’s worn thin over the past year, now X-Men is back to normal print demand type of runs…

Looks like you can go ahead and pre-order X-Men #12 EMP XOS (2nd Printing) now at TFAW.

Yay, more subsequent printings…will be hard to beat that A cover though.

It’s funny because our site obviously sold out quick, but our physical stores were sitting on stacks of them still on the shelves as of last night when I went in.

Exactly, but there are several firsts in the book, including Annihilation. Will be interesting to see what the artwork is. My guess is the Annihilation or the White Sword.

I haven’t really left the house since March 8th… only to seek out food and toilet paper (when Amazon fails me in my Pantry Delivery schedules)…

117,000 split amongst 2 covers. Could be worse, there could be 500k. The deal was picking up 1:25 copies at Frankie’s for $13/. Also, the 2nd printing had less than 2000 orders (of course they could have printed 10k).

2nd print of #2 is the rare Marvel color change. They clearly didn’t think too much of it.

Agreed, but it is without question a variant cover and it is extremely limited compared to the 1st print. It will matter IF the HIGH Summoner becomes a notable X-Men character. Certainly worth grabbing a couple as they are cheap.

Exactly! Look at the people paying for $200 for Shuri 2 2nd

Well, we’ll have to wait and see. FOC is a week and a half a way. Plenty of time to place your pre-orders…

I was referring to X-Men #2 (2019) 2nd print as being rare. I expect X-Men #12 2nd print to be considerably higher than the 2000 #2 2nd prints. Simply because X-Men #12 was an instant hit and Marvel has been doing a lot of internal artwork for subsequent printings. A lot of first appearances in this book to slap on additional printings for all to chase.

Ah… it’s hard to follow when we’re talking about #2 and #12 and every other issue apparently in this topic…

:joy: well, #2 definitely and #12 are companions. I really enjoyed #12 (would have loved to see all of the elements fleshed out over 3-4 books). Annihilation, Genesis, the White Sword, Isca the Unbeaten, High Mutant Prophet Idyll, etc. Many unnamed cameos (I am pretty sure Solem was in there too). Hickman packed a whole lot in 1 issue.

I haven’t read X-men #12 yet does it have the FCBD introduced characters or more new ones?

Ok I skimmed 12 got my answer.

It has some of the same and some additional characters not shown. It names and fleshes out many of the characters. For example, the split tarot card is of Genesis and Annihilation. We find out who they are and of their importance in the history/demise of Arakko.
