I’ve got one shop that won’t pull trickery with this reprinting as he sells comics but it isn’t the store’s main focus by any means. He’s a cool guy too. The other stores I like are great, but have corporate overlords as they are part of chains and might be instructed to make things messy.

Dragon’s Lair won’t pull this crap either, since they sell all comics at cover price, even ratio variants. I need to ask them if they’re even participating in the promotion.

If they held back copies of issues 1 & 2 along with the SIKTC #1…isn’t that ok?
I don’t know if anyone has posted this yet but you can buy SIKTC on toss comics if you also buy Brzrkr 1 and 2. Their site doesn’t specify if it has to be the foil version or not. I ordered 3 sets and I’ll see what I get.
The LCS I frequent doesn’t do this as well and they are the oldest comic shop in the city so they are definitely doing something right.

That’s not the topic at hand, but sure, holding back inventory is their prerogative. I was simply stating that two shops by me don’t hold back copies. And that is okay too. 
Wow this brzrkr/SIKTC thing is a bunch of blown shenanigans. Finally got to sit down and look into it.
Is this correct?
First they put a card in the foil editions of #1 stating if you bought one and two you get the free comic. Doesn’t state it has to be the foil copy of 1.
A retail can get one cope of SIKTC for every three copies of brzrkr 2 basically making a ratio variant.
Doesn’t state if retailers are getting copies for free.
On top of all that brzrkr two got pushed back making the date on the cards wrong so Boom is asking retailers to remove the card 
.
The surprise variant TFAW has the same part# that boom listed for the copy of SIKTC. I’m guessing TFAW decided to skip the headache and sell the copies.
Hope my foil #1 arrives with the card still in it just for collectors sake.
No $100 sales of BRZRKR #1 2nd Print yet on Ebay but for the 3 auctions running right now;

- one at $36 with 2+ days left.

Messaged my shop today. They didn’t order any…still got 1st prints on the shelves.

Another retailer I spoke with said he ordered 20 copies, he got sent 2 copies. So yes, it’s not even shops playing the spec game, it’s BOOM! and their shitty additional printings tactics to create false demand. BOOM! is quickly becoming one of the shit publishers now… Print books people want to buy because there’s great stories and art inside, not because you playing games…

BOOM! even plays the spec game. Have you seen the SIKTC 1:25 variants on there site? Some are double or tripple the ration. Only bought twice from them for my wife’s PC. Other then that, yeah I’ll pass.

Really hope this isn’t a sign of things to come from indie publishers. The sad thing is that there are idiots out there willing to pay whatever it costs.
Yeah but those guys are constantly losing money… I like those guys though

For the surprise variant Boom didn’t say what it was so we threw up some copies early at I think $9.99 and figured if anyone wanted to take a shot at it we’d let them. Once they revealed what the surprise variant was supposed to be (and that it was something for giving away) we took it down, but kept anyone who ordered its pre-order and lowered it to the same price as a $3.99 comic. So those people will get it. And if anyone doesn’t want it for whatever the discounted price is we can just remove it for them.
The rest will be split up between our physical stores so we can give it to people who buy BRZRKR 2, and also included randomly with some people who have BRZRKR 2 in their orders.
