Only thing I’ve bought this whole SDCC was a 1:50 Thor #1 2014 and that was a rush missed out on the first two checking out in PayPal.

The girl in Wanda Vision is Monica Rambeau from Captain Marvel grown up Spectrum.
I figured she was a lock to show up at some point since her mom was in the first movie and the name Photon’s on the side of the plane her mom flew. Maybe the 89 series of 2 issues will jump.
I have hope for a good Doctor Strange follow up movie but if he gets too far out there he’ll lose me the mumbo jumbo mystical stuff.
Master of Kung Fu, I burn’t out on the genre pre Jackie Chan although I did enjoy a couple of his movies.
I think the last vampire movie I saw was the one where the famous singer girl died right after. Maybe if they time it close to Halloween it’ll put up Ghost Rider numbers or a little better.
I went way overboard on Eternals…Glad I did though, about a year ago this time was thinking maybe I was getting too much. Have just under 200 issues from the bronze age run including a British set (three shy) along with Whitman variants ans a few price variants. My wife bought me a heat press for my b-day earlier this month and I have been pressing away with insanely good results. Just sent another batch of Eternals in to CGC with the books I pressed. Looking forward to seeing how they will grade.
maybe Phase five for A-force. A lot of female characters still need to get established or even introduced. I can still see an A-Force happening at some point.
They had enough already to put out the Lady Liberators which predates A-Force by decades. I think almost the entire team was already in the MCU but I’d have to go check. I got buried in orders after the announcements and just finished digging out and have everything shipped and out the door again.

These do sound unbelievably bland. I’m somewhat interested in Black Widow and Strange and even Thor, but Eternals? I wish they’d stop trying to force the forgotten '70s properties down our throats, nobody cares. Would’ve rather just seen Inhumans at this rate.
Just think of it as the NIGHT the MCU DIED!!!
They’ll make some money but it has a market oversaturation feel to it and even scheduling head to head conflicts with DC films like Wonder Woman.
Without the big name staples, Hulk. Iron Man, Spider-Man, Deadpool and Thor/Captain America heading in questionable fan reaction directions it seems they’re opening the door wide for DC to step up and take a % of the market back while others are just going to walk away due to saturation of theme.
I have more hope for the TV side of things catching a new fan base but that’s not really a cash cow as evidenced by the CW efforts so far or even the Defenders crew product tie-in sales to date. When you’re streaming you’re limiting your target audience down to those who can afford yet another expense to pay for with yet another streaming service while leaving out whole chunks of the population who still don’t have internet options affordable enough or good enough for streaming.
I can see me spending the next year trying to explain who the Eternals are to people who never heard of them and trying to keep them interested in Defender stuff waiting for their 2 year limbo to pass so they can come back if they even do and listening to more hater speeches from those who have been saying the same things since Marvel started turning everyone female and or alternate sexual.

All they have to do is show baby Thanos and people will understand who the Eternals are. Also with Cottonmouth being Blade I would bet all Netflix characters are nixxed from the MCU.
And DC films has no Superman, so are they really DC movies? I think the second Wonder Woman will Bomb as the first movie was horrible if you look past the girlpower in a super hero movie for the first time that got people excited for it.

Saying they are the race Thanos comes from and having anyone care enough to spend any money or even being able to name one is another thing entirely. Sersi, Gilgamesh and Starfox and those are pretty much only if you’ve been a fan of Avengers during their duller years prior to the bankruptcy and vol2-3 stuff.
Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see everything blow up big but it just doesn’t scream record box office numbers to come to me. I fear we’re heading into the point where everything becomes oversaturated and starts to not excite people due to the sheer volume. Any box office numbers are going to be compared to numbers from the past which is an almost impossible level to continue which will have people on the it’s a failure bandwagon because GOTG was received better and sold more tickets.
My biggest excitement from this batch is for the sequels while hoping them not to have killed off the momentum entirely.
Fiege has stated that there will no longer be ‘phases’. We are no longer in phase 4. I believe it is just simply the MCU now. Fiege stated that they are getting away from large over arcing stories and they will be focusing on 3-5 movie story threads. They are also going to be distancing the cosmic MCU from the Earthbound MCU. I think we need to keep this concept in mind when talking about future spec involving the MCU. M2c.
That makes sense, last thing we’d want is to get Galactus and Silver Surfers Attention while continuing to make money from a proven method that set you apart from the herd and established record breaking movie numbers $$$$.
