Are we there yet? Marvel MCU at SDCC!

Yeah, I do recall him saying that. There will be different story arcs or chapters so whatever they wind up calling them (if anything). I do think we have only seen the tip of the iceburg for what/who will be joining the MCU overall. It may take a little while but seems like there will be plenty of never before faces/teams making their way to the big screen.

At least Fantastic Four is “Confirmed”

It also looks now like Black Widow will have 4 weeks before Wonder Woman takes over and leaves Marvel with a void until November with nothing happeneing. That should help Black Widows numbers some not splitting the entire run with WW.

No holiday movie this year is weird. There’s a holiday movie in 2020 and 2021.

You do have some Kung Fu fighting for VD.

If Eternals sucks you can always catch the matinee over Thanksgiving or Christmas break in a theater not so crowded.

For a better picture you have to have some computer genius pull off the Marvel TV stuff from the chart and insert Disney’s other movies as well as anything from Fox, DC and Sony including the follow up to Kung Fu fighting in April New Mutants.

They likely dont want to compete with Star Wars this Christmas.

Do I detect a CHUview in our future? Or would that be CHUline?

Huh?

Sounds like someone with the know and the ability to provide a timeline for the movies for the CHU viewers. The drop the TV stuff, insert the other Disney stuff, maybe some DC, Fox and Sony dates so CHU viewers can have a picture of what’s coming when at their disposal from a CHU master with the know.

All it needs then is a cool CHU name to be a regular CHU feature.

The What if
show will present all sorts of opportunities to introduce characters, imo.

As in “what if we brought this character into the MCU
would it sell tickets???”

Need a “what if marvel superheroes were zombies?” To get that franchise going

CBR stealing my idea!!

Did you also see the Dr. Strange movie is going to be the first “scary” MCU movie
and dealing with the multiverse?

Zombies are coming, only a matter of time

Has anyone read Eternals 2006? I’m looking at the write ups and it doesn’t sound like something I remember reading. It’s not really looking like something I really want to read either. All 6 are in stock at mycomicshop in copies cheap enough to read and the tpb is the only Eternals book in stock at Diamond which doesn’t make any sense. I would have thought the movie people and comic people at Marvel would have stopped their fighting and started coordinating efforts by now to support each other more. At the very least getting some reprint trades in Diamonds hands before the con. Maybe even a comic series or something in the last 12 years so it wouldn’t be a complete unknown to most people on the street.

For what it’s worth - The CHU team set up a pretty strong roadmap of where things belong in the forum. To keep the forum neat and clean, which will help establish future growth, I would encourage a topic like this (MCU talk) that clearly belongs in “Movies and TV” to be categorized as such. If you open a topic like this in “uncategorized” it’s likely creating a duplicate post and making it difficult for new users to find what they’re looking for. Remember, post responsibly, think before you post.

Little efforts like putting something where it goes probably saves the CHU team from having to re-categorize after the fact, merge posts, etc and is just a nice way of showing gratitude for the work they already put in.

Thanks lumularsgard.

Also, when creating a new topic, try to make the topic subject actually relevant to the discussion. “Are we there yet?” tells users absolutely nothing about what the topic is about.

You got served, BJ. :stuck_out_tongue:

Agree the above helps. I’d like to also add that the choice of categories is very
Limiting. I would like to see an expansion on the choices somewhat. If people have ideas, maybe start a thread capturing them.

If course now I see poyo has a PSA on topic
Creation
but it’s locked for commenting
so I guess we can’t use that one to share ideas

Create a new topic in the Site Suggestions.

We started off with the categories we have now but we don’t want to also drown in categories. When you start creating categories for every single thing, it starts to get convoluted.

But yes, please do utilize the Site Suggestions for new categories and other suggestions.

Yeah, it’s more of a banner announcement rather than, let’s fix everything in this topic type of topic.

No pun intended BJ but yeah, you are the biggest culprit of both. I’ve literally had to go edit almost every single topic you’ve started with a relevant category and a little more description in the non-descriptive subjects
 :frowning:

I would suggest removing the GREAT BIG button on the Top Right of the main page if you don’t want uncategorized posts.

+ NEW TOPIC

It’s the easy option for making a quick message that allows you the option to put them wherever you want them long term. I don’t surf the Categories, just the main page “LATEST” which removes the need. Latest puts everything active in one simple list on the right side of the main page once again making it unnecessary to dig around individual categories to see what’s new if anything.

I’ll also avoid making the new one I just stopped by to let people know about a comic that’s going crazy price Mike (and probably some other CVHUers that went to the convention) may have since it falls into both convention talk, spec talk and comic talk and I’m not sure where you would want it right now.
