Let’s face it people, them shelving this movie is a good thing. Like most DC movies, they saved us yet from another terrible movie that will just end up getting terrible rotten tomato reviews and scores.

I used to date a girl who’s family was in the film industry. Her father was an award winning sound guy, her brother owned a big special effects company (he died a few years ago, on set, while filming Titans. It was reported here first via Alana), and my ex was also into set building and special effects. They all took great pride in the movies and shows they worked on. Anecdotal, yes, but from my time around those movie people, they take just as much pride in their work as most of us do, and they would be disappointed to some degree if their work wasn’t seen by the public as it was intended to be.

This right here…this 100%. I work in the industry and people take pride in these things. Are there people who look at it as another paycheck? Yes, but I tend to surround myself in people who believe in a project. That’s how you get the best results. It may not always be easily executed, especially when you have execs that have other ideas, but that puts you in the best position to succeed.

Also, I think there is a WBD earnings call today which may address this situation.

This just means they have the opportunity to reboot the movie and include the real Batgirls star: Bondo the car.

John Oliver apparently did a funny segment on HBO Discovery and how they canceled stuff.

John Oliver is my primary news source now each week. He’s just freaking hilarious, especially when he starts making fun of himself.

I like Late Show With Colbert a lot, myself. Jimmy Fallon annoys me because he seems like he wants to be everyone’s friend and Jimmy Kimmel rubs me the wrong way when he does those Halloween segments where parents make their kids cry saying they ate their candy. How is that funny?

I like Colbert but never watch him anymore. I don’t bother with the others. I just don’t have a lot of time for much TV most days.

I can’t stand the news anymore. Even the satire news like Oliver and Colbert are highly opinionated and slanted towards their personal beliefs. Media just wants to pit the American people against each other.
