Its still not confirmed. Even if they (the movie folks) do have her take up the mantle; her staying as BP is going to depend on the movie audience. I hope they have a good story behind this; not just a trials of BP movie. If the Shuri BP does well she’ll stay as BP, if not she’ll pass on the mantle. Then, either they have someone (read a guy - resurrected Killmonger, long lost son, etc.) become the new, new BP. Maybe Shuri will then be his mentor, and tech person. Personally as long as they have a good story behind it, I couldn’t care less whether its her, Killmonger or anyone else.

I’m actually not disputing whether she will or will not become BP. I usually take spec from anywhere with a grain of salt, and then dive in. I would be a little hesitant to go all out (pay a lot) based on this spec though. May be a short term spec, if you find it for cheap … I do have a couple of these issues; trying to figure out when to sell.
But here they are wrong Shuri first appears as Black Panther in 5 panels in costume and other panels un costumed in Black Panther annual #1 2008 so they are pumping Black Panther #1 and #5 2009 it’s still misinformation whether you like key collector or not.

I honestly couldn’t care less about Shuri as black panther. Thought she was pretty annoying in the movies but cool thats happening. I’ve no money invested in any of her books

And wouldn’t you want the Shuri as Black Panther where Tchalla is dead since that’s how the movie will be. Not the Shuri as Black Panther that came out a year later in the timeline where Tchalla is alive.

I am not sure about any of the secondary characters carrying their own movie. They seem to be gearing towards that now, maybe they will just do mostly ensemble movies instead.
Hence, Shuri + Riri, rather than Shuri only or Riri only.
No, I haven’t watched Loki yet. I got rid of Disney+ halfway through Falcon & Winter Soldier. I thought it was that bad.
To me Shuri’s most important issue is her first appearance in Black Panther #2, Followed by the Black Panther Annual. Though I thought she only appeared on one page in the annual.
Collectors bought BP #2 and Inv Iron Man #7 & #9 3/4 years ago.
