my submission from June '22 finally arrived. mostly pleased with the results.

4 of 7 issues of secret wars passed 9.6 grade screening :+1: but cbcs has changed their labels once again so now my secret wars #s 3-7 labels don’t match my #1 and #8 :roll_eyes:
but i suppose there’s a chance i’d have to reholder the whole set before selling in a few years anyway.

but a bit disappointed that no bronze age stuff nor the asm 306 got above 9.4 and that the other bronze age books didn’t pass the 9.4 grade screen.

Was just alphabetizing books I received back from CGC and CBCS the last few months.
Anyone care to guess why I purposely chose to spend a whopping ~$60 to grade this debacle of a book that’s barely worth a few bucks?

Good guess! But nope.
1st comic book I ever read in my life. My dad brought this issue and an issue of Hot Stuff home. I took this one and my brother took the Hot Stuff.

That is great. Couldn’t think of a better reason to preserve a book.

This was my first. Actual one is long gone after so many readings as a kid. Still has a special place in my heart, despite having very little value.

Yeaaaaa… the old spinner rack from a 7-Eleven store in Newtown Square, PA. - circa early 1976.
Notice I stuck my younger brother with the Hot Stuff comic and I took the Marvel :stuck_out_tongue:

Since it’s for the PC, I grabbed a 9.8 CBCS. Because i wanted a REAL 9.8.

None of that CGC 9.8 with multiple spine ticks crap.

Will sell my 9.4 CGC to pay for some of the this.

I found my NM (probably a 9.6, maybe 9.8) Batman #666 for like a buck at Half Price Books back in 2015 I think.
