Well, Friday my last batch of books went to the last level before they ship. Awesome that was done on a Friday afternoon, so I have to wait until Monday to see the grades but at least I know the books I want to sell will get here before the Doctor Strange and Thor movies debut.
That, “Strange Academy,” tho!
Faele did you get my pm regarding Jennifer Blood?
Remarkably crooked in the case, what would cause that? Recommended action as this is a new one for me.
Looks like the book busted its pressure seal and is now loose in the case. I’ve had this happen twice with graded books. The book will get damaged if you leave it as is. I would return it but say it was damaged in shipping that way if there is insurance the seller can recoup some of his loss.
I had this happen with an ultimate fallout #4 the guy kept it but I refunded him $60. The other book was a 1st Gwenom and that was a 9.8 and suffered noticeable damage and he returned it as item not as described so I wasn’t able to collect insurance.
FYI, post office is supposed to confiscate the item and refund you the amount up to what it was insured for.
I received a damaged slab through a return, when I tried to get usps to cover $50 for a press and regrade, they said they are not supposed to reimburse me unless I give up the item. Basically you’re better off putting in a claim for a full replacement.
If it’s within the two week return period get it reholdered.
You could just give them the broken case and keep the book.
daaaaang that is a tasty bump! not a small profit you’ve gained from a simple resubmit.
Never realised a book could move from OW-W back to white! Congratulations to you and your presser aka miracle-worker : )
I wish it was as easy as just resubmitting lol. Pressed it and gave it a couple of treatments of stain removal / page whitening. Actually did this one for a customer, wish it was mine!
Thanks! I’m the presser on this one if you look closely, you can see the whiter areas on the Hulk lettering which is the result of a stain removal treatments that can also whiten a bit.
Awesome job!
That’s not restoration?
Nope! Although to some, pressing is considered restoration so it depends who you’re asking.
