Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game

Amazon showing Ravensburger how to run this business.
Thank you for the info @monopolyjackson

Played in a local draft tournament tonight. Came in second and received four packs & some promo loot.
Family teasing me…Oh…Mr. Marine is heading out to play his nerd Disney game.
Really is a fun game!

They are such a hot mess. Well, either the whole Amazon thing was a troll or (more likely) they have no clue about the masses that want it and dropped the ball again.

I see nothing on Amazon/Ravensburger relative to a queue or such (as of now anyway)

Update…at 12:40 they have a “invitation request” for a Rise starter deck lol. Nothing for boxes, other products.

Booster box line/invite finally just showed up.

Huge shout out to @Devildog for the Lorcana cards. And thank you for the extras. My wife loved the Aladdin one as thats her favorite Disney movie.

Thanks again…

@Gbess You are most welcome! So glad you liked them!

I’m definitely seeing product become more available. Hopefully everyone can get what they want going forward.

If anyone is looking and having trouble locating packs. I got lucky at Best Buy (5.99/booster) the past couple days. Their website is accurate if it says it’s in store, both stores I hit (only allowed 5 packs) but they showed “in store” and after I bought them the one then showed “not available” on the website. I did have to ask at both as they had them in the back and pulled them out for me. I went back to the not sold out store today and grabbed 5 more packs. Now to open and see what pulls I get!

If i ever see these in a store, I’m definitely buying some. Problem is… finding them in stores

This is how I found them. Just click - check other locations - put your zip in and if it says available in store, they should have them.

If for some reason you can’t find them and simply want some cards or a basic deck to sort of get the jist of the game please just reach out.

I’d love the game to do well and hate for folks to not be able to get ahold of product/even see the cards.
Even you don’t play, if a person is at all a fan of Disney, the artwork and cards are very nicely done and they are fun to collect.

I finally found packs at Target from a retail perspective. First time since mid September I’ve even seen boosters at retail. I think you should be able to find starter decks pretty easily going forwards. It isn’t really worth it to flippers to buy those up and once you have cards/decks, there isn’t really a reason to buy those up at all.

I’ve laughed at at a few market place posts on FB where it’s clear some hoarder/flippers who tried to buy up all the starters are getting stuck with them.

Disney is working this cash cow…
You all know I’m clearly a fan…but I think they need to slow the roll.

Finally found one of the 8-pack boxes at my LCS and pulled the Snow White Enchanted (206/204). Couldn’t be happier and absolute beginner’s luck with Lorcana Floodborn.

Beautiful card too!

Is there a difference in hobby vs retail for Lorcana? I know sports cards have a difference as far as the hits go.

@Jester00
The only difference imo, is that when you buy non big chain retailer “booster boxes/packs” they have reported (informally) that enchanted cards tend to be about 1:96 packs/1 per case versus the now sleeved retailer packs that are sort of impossible to determine what the enchanted odds are.

Outside of that, zero differences between cards, packs, etc.

On the first chapter, first waves, big box stores (Walmart, Meijer, some best buys) they did receive booster boxes similar to the hobby shops but now, all of them appear to be getting sleeved packs.

card game related… METAZOO IS DEAD :skull_and_crossbones:

Okay, I’ll bite. What’s Metazoo?

Shouldn’t this be posted in the 2024 Death List thread?

Newest set releases today (gaming/speciality shops).
It’s a fun set. Some fun new additions to the mechanics.
Overall, from my observations, the game is still doing very well. As I’ve always said, it benefits from a rabid Disney fan base. The Art & collecting of cards alone is a driver for many.
I still see consistent tournament and league play in my area.
Like all games, the value of cards waxes and wanes based on deck design and combinations.

What I’m most interested to see is if they will stop producing earlier sets. I know Chapter One has really dried up around here. I’ve stopped trading any of those cards till I know for certain.

How did the “reissue” of the first series pan out? Are the cards the exact same or can people tell the difference?

There are definitely changes and differences on “some” cards as various errata had to be changed or little ruling mistakes reworked but imo… nothing to cause a big deal. Some would argue that in time it will mean something. I haven’t come across any players/collectors who care or look for differences.

Yeah, my area (at least Targets, Walmarts, and Best Buy) have dried up and I don’t see any. I found some Chapter 1 at Hot Topic, but they stayed there at that price point. I feel like the game and “hot cards” are starting to shift some with set 3 dropping. I haven’t played, there are game shops near by that have days/times for it, but have been enjoying collecting First Chapter. Got a couple “first print” booster boxes, I want to crack one hoping for some foil errata cards and sit on one, but like all TCGs it’s all a gamble.

I’m curious about the reprint of First Chapter as well, are they going to? I read that the starter decks have cards from previous sets, but I haven’t opened any past First Chapter.
