eBay issues

This is common. I can’t tell you how many times I’d find open box OBD2 readers at Goodwill. People would buy them, get the code and return them back to the store.

But AutoZone, O’Reily and others doit for free!

I guess most of these people are the type that would buy a new release comic on eBay for 5x what they can get at Midtown or MCS…

100% of my customer base

eBay keeps flagging my Cherry 24, Adam Hughes variant, no matter what I cover up. I look at all the other listings and they aren’t doing anything special. I’ve had my listing removed 3 times now.

Cherry Books are not allowed on eBay at all. Even if you do not show the cover.

That’s when you wait 24 hours with the tracking number… but if you print the label, eBay notifies them usually with tracking.

I thought they allowed them under the “Adult” section though?

eBay got rid of that section some years ago. It was a whole fiasco.

Oh… crap, didn’t realize. Tells you how much time I spend on eBay nowadays!

Not sure I understand Cherry books aren’t allowed on Ebay.
There are a number of sold Cherry #24’s “sold”, and actually up for sale currently.
Did they just slip through?

I will say, regardless, daaaaammmmn… that was a good purchase with those sold values.
Between this book and the Hulk 1 PX, those were two big winners out of the gate.

I’ve experienced similar issues on ebay with some kickstarter. Other folks have it listed just fine with no additional blurring or covered sections. Ive tried covering, blurring and my listings still get pulled. I wonder if one of the sellers with current active listings are reporting it to ebay to minimize competition.

That was my initial thought also, as one seller had 3-4 listed and sold most of them. All they covered are the “blurred bits” area. I find it interesting that there are straight uncovered copies up for auction.

Had no idea that this was the case.

OBD2 reader works absolutely fine.

But because eBay automatically accepted the return, which includes the buyers reason as “doesn’t work of defective” I am forced to pay shipping. There’s no option when I go to refund to subtract any amount or preclude the shipping.

Select “Report of Problem”

Select disagree.

This is what I get.

Looking back at the reason, I see the person called me a “dishonest” seller. Nice.

Did you say that it worked?

All I can do is enter a message into the comment field.

Yes. I was very clear the item was 100% functional, and this was user error. Not my error. I should not have to pay for shipping.

Also was asked to rate the return, and gave it 1 star (the lowest I could…would have chosen zero stars) and expressed my disappointment in how it was handled.

That’s all I can really do.

In the end, I’m griping over $4.99 shipping. It’s the principle though.

You have an OBD2 reader for $25. Not even Autozone has it for that cheap.

Send me some pictures. I might be interested in buying if from you. Depending if it works or not lol  :joy:  jk jk too soon. But seriously, send me some pictures. Mine got stolen so yeah.
