Does the fact that he can’t spell make it more menacing or less?
More. Seems more unhinged. I blocked him and reported him to eBay.
Hmmm, I can understand him being upset, but what he did was just threaten you. Underhanded threats are still threats. Let him know eBay, as well as his local police have been notified of his stupid conduct (and do contact them). Nip it in the bud before he becomes a problem. Too many people like that around these days.
This guy left me feedback saying “seller canceled the book when he realized he could get a few pennys more”.
The book sold on Mercari the day before. Forgot to take it off eBay. Wish I had another copy I could have sold him. If you check my eBay sales there were none sold after this one.
Left feedback for him stating I explained the situation then buyer made threats, that I blocked him and added him to an eBay seller block list.
After @Anthony 's success selling on eBay, I said F@#& it, I’ll list some books. Sold 3 so far and just now, this guy (theinbetweener_3) bought a book and within seconds, asked to cancel and refund. WTF!!!
So how do I block this person? Can I get a step by step on how to do it. Thank you and much appreciated.
Go to eBay help and type in block buyer in the search field.
Thank you
You could have wrote him back and told him the correct spelling is “hobby”.
I’m sure that would have taken the temperature down ![]()
Haters gonna hate. ![]()
That guy is a real jerk. Someone should look him up and see if he is selling on ebay, and then we all can screw with him.
There’s therapy for these types of people who spend way too much time doing things like this. It’s called the art of letting go…
He is. Now, I really didn’t have the book as it had already sold, but he was looking to get it at $39 and sell for $99. I sold mine at a nice profit so I am not salty and have sold books I miss priced by a lot and never looked back (I Kill Giants #1) for example.
Call eBay and point to the message he sent you and they’ll remove the feedback. That’s insane.
Next time just send him a box full of your dog’s shit in it… totally worth the negative feedback then!
Explanation when he reaches out after getting: “So sorry, packages got mixed up, that was meant for the vet, my poor dog is sick and they’re trying to determine what’s wrong to save!”
I feel like there may be a law against that…or some looses enough interpretation of a law that would result in having to hire a lawyer…
So….not worth the negative feedback then…
Yeah, I was being sarcastic, I wouldn’t want someone to actually do that. But it is legal if marked properly and for medical reasons. As a prank, yes, you can get in trouble.
But it would be funny.
Anyone dealt with this guy?
Mind you I got two copies for $2 so am willing to be flexible to keep the streak going but cover price is crazy.
Also, I don’t believe best offer is on. Just a guy trolling for beefcake covers.
He sees the market value at $10. I see it a little differently.
I don’t understand people that do this. It’s not like $350 vs $250.
It’s f’n $9. If you want it…pay market for it.
Every copy of eBay right now is $14.99. One copy in the UK for $8 plus $26 shipping. Seems like $15 IS the market value.
