eBay Seller/Buyer Avoid List

These buyers don’t bother me at all. Just say, “Sorry, I’m going to stay at $15.” No need to justify your price.

I don’t even reply back, I have a fixed price on all my listings and I do not have the best offer feature activated. People send me messages all the time with offers and I just ignore them all. Especially the ones that send really low offers. Not worth the back and forth. My opinion is if you want it cheaper, then go buy a cheaper one somewhere else. I’m not in that big of a hurry to drop my prices. If something doesn’t sell in a reasonable amount time, then I’ll drop the price myself. I’m never the highest or the lowest, and it usually sells in the end without the “extra” back and forth.

It’s like bartering for a $2.49 cup of coffee for $2.25.
One loses time (and money) even just starting to play this silly game for a few dollars. Sheesh

Well, it’s completed sold listings that should depict market value after fees, taxes and shipping are deducted. It’s not worth anything until money exchanges hands… per se…

But yeah, squabbling over a few bucks on such a low sale is just dumb regardless of market value… I would have just ignored him after he initially offered $6. Responding just opens up the world of tedious time wasting headaches if you ask me.

I have responded and people when told sometimes end up buying it.

I don’t know, usually those who haggle hard with low ball end up being problem makers. It’s just red flag for me, I’d rather miss out on the $15 sale myself than spend more time than it’s worth.

I have yet to experience this kind of back and forth with potential buyers. I’ve had a few passive aggressive ones who continue to respond with lower and lower amounts because I didn’t accept their original low-ball offer but no squabbling over a few bucks thankfully. People are exhausting lol

That’s my take, seems too exhausting for my taste to spend so much time on a $15 book. Either buy it or don’t. I don’t even think I would even bother someone for anything under $20 to try and squeeze a few more dimes off the price…

I did a local pickup once to a guy got out of the car looking like Wild Bill from Silence of the Lambs but that’s a story for a different seller/buyer avoid list.

I mean, if you have an OBO listing, and it’s not a hot book I’m concerned about missing out on for the asking price…I’m at least going to ask for a few $1s off.

I’ve had people have OBO and would not budge 25 cents. Like why bother with it?

Response to me.

I should send him the same exact screen shots of sales you did.

Interestingly enough, one of your screenshots was my sale, which the person cancelled on me. But I don’t think he’d pick up on that.

Edit: there hasn’t been any sales since, so I can use the same ones.
