They could, but, why change the nature of the character? The reason the Fantastic Four movies have failed is they keep tweaking the characters. Fantastic Four fans want to see Fantastic Four. Would there be a fuss if Danny DiVito was cast as Sue Storm?

I would hope that they don’t change the nature of the character, but after seeing Cecily Strong in Schmigadoon recently, she could pull it off.
