Hoping for new apps in the 2nd year. Villalobos appears to be doing the main covers for the series and issue 1-3 covers look good.
Who is the blonde on cover 1A? Is this supposed to be Emily Bright with a hair color change?

Looks like TFAW pre orders and FOC date this week are all screwed up. DC/Marvel look like they have 1-17-25 as the FOC date?. It should be 1-20-25?. So all books are now at 10% instead of 30%?

That looks like they just reused the design from the old Dark Horse Star Wars series Dark Empire. A figure was even made of the guard back in the 90’s. I’ve got one. Maybe they should have done a deeper dive in concept art and cross checked it with existing media. Character is new. Design looks to be rehashed.

They’ve said that it IS the character from the toyline. It was part of a planned continuation of the Star Wars universe that never came to fruition.

I’ll be interested to read the issue when it comes out. The toy is a generic guard and there were more than one in the old comic books from Dar Horse. The article references ROTJ source material and an unproduced toy. The author I guess is unaware a toy exists from characters that have appeared in comics from the 1990’s. It’s two different things… but the same design. I like Star Wars a lot so we’ll see if they flesh out and give one of the guards a back story or something. So are the Dark Horse comics the true first appearance?
Maybe that’s different then. It was concept art for a character named Atha Prime. Just read that the particular toyline did not get made.

Yeah, when I saw the comics on FOC, I didn’t order any because I was like “oh look, the guards from Dark Empire are back”. Crap, now they gave one a name and made it a new character, I guess. Oh, do I chase Star Wars spec again or not? I’ll like to read it none the less.
We’ll just have to wait for Dirty D’s FOC to come out…he’ll know what to do…
I think adding a copy of Geiger #10 2nd print may be a smart add if you’re at all interested.
I’m partial to everything Ghost Machine related, but in terms of the Geiger story…it was a great issue & big deal/character, etc.

FYI, issue 12 & 13 cover art was unveiled once issue 10 debuted. This book comes out in March, a month after the 2nd print of 10.
