My guess it’s fun to draw? Artists go wild with it.
I always like more tongue… I mean. On Venom. I loved the crazy 90’s with lots of tongue and green ooze.

The 90’s Venom had less tongue I thought… McFarlane actually limited the tongue for Venom compared to nowadays.
McFarlane didn’t do a lot of tongue. I think it was more Bagley and Larson

Bagley was probably the real beginning of the tongue… I think Larson kept it more like McFarlane’s.
I think ASM 332 may be the only Venom cover I can think of from Larson that did not have much tongue

Yeah, probably right. It did evolve over time…
Oh my goodness though, that jaw line looks horrible… haha!

Yeah, I was never a big fan of his art.
Yeah, from what I’ve read Larsen is the, “Creator,” of Venom’s tongue.
Every thread always devolves into “what is cameo vs first app” jokes/fighting.
