ThunderCats Gets 82,000 Orders For Its Second Issue
As ComicsPRO begins in Pittsburgh, Dynamite announced that they have had orders for 82,000 for their second issue, ThunderCats#2 by Declan Shalvey and Drew Moss following Final Order Cutoff. This comes with the announcement of a new ThunderCat with Calica and a new Rob Liefeld cover. It will be published on the 13th of March, along with the second printing of the first issue. The first [issue had a 180,000 print run, though with a more aggressive variant cover promotions. The third issue will be published on the 10th of April.
Print runs dropped down 100,000 copies for #2. It’d be more interesting to know the actual print run per cover since there were 33 of them. #3 falls in April so if Diamonds new flat rate shipping is going by then it’ll make #3 and on an easy shelf stocker.

Facebook video has a customer contacting me to order 3 copies for him. FOC is Sunday. I’d hate to have to tell him I dropped ordering IDW comics that have Star Trek in the title 6 months ago for lack of sales.
An observation for Chicagoland readers and probably no one else… Peter’s Oscorp lab coat here instead looks like Osco, which would make him Peter Parker, the Spectacular Pharmacist.
I don’t think that’s the A cover. The A cover has been solicited with the white side border like the previous issues. I don’t know why this cover isn’t shown on league of comic geeks
Mine is the cover solicited on PRH and Previews. I think they might have switched out the cover at some point. I believe this new cover shows the new character.
Most of these properties, from a quick look on ebay seem to have been previously been published before e.g. Marvel. So if looking for first appearance may have happened already (though outside this new combined universe.
