FOC Mega Topic

BUT They always leave out how many are store exclusives

I was just checking Red Roots and there appears to be zero store exclusives. None listed on comic geeks and none on ebay. Only 1:25 and 1:50

60k for Red Roots is outrageous. Saga only did 35k for issue 1 in comparison and was hyped.

Also no store exclusives listed for Head Lopper. :person_shrugging:

yet foc was only a couple of days ago
wait for the sellers like comics toms of the world

I’m not sure how store exclusives work since I don’t buy them. Don’t they have to put in their orders pre foc just like retailers?

Also I highly doubt any retailer is doing a store exclusive for Head Lopper

Since they have to buy a minimum number of copies like 3k, I’m not sure how many are taking chances on an unknown property. The ones that I see are usually the big books like transformers, gi Joe or after a book has already popped like D’orc. Then they go all in on D’orc later printing. Very rarely do I see a bunch of exclusives for books like D’orc before foc as an unknown property.

The good ‘ol’ days. Batman had only two titles and many were basically single issue stories. Most books stayed in their lanes. If there was a major event it was typically over the summer and handled in either a mini series or over a series of annuals.

Reminds me of Narco. A handful of indie titles this year are being reprinted to sell variant covers.

Jade Warriors is next.

Image has a minimum of 500-1000 and the shops don’t have to announce their doing the exclusive at FOC. Usually they like to presell their ratios at top dollar and then announce the exclusive.

I don’t get offering a virgin variant of the MTG variant
it doesn’t look right
and then having it be an incentive? I would say it’s un-incentivising.

This could be fun for signatures of actors who played spiderman.

What’s concerning is that it’s a Fantastic Four book
and it says “not final trade dress” at the bottom. I would hope they put the trade dress on the back like they do with Virgin variants as to not mess with the card look.

If anything, these are reminding me I need to grab a few cards

I feel these would appeal to comic collectors more than MTG players

Whose buying this crap ?

ULTIMATE IMPACT: REBORN #1

Not me. I am so tired of this stuff. Every few months it’s an “all new” “reborn” “universe shattering” event. Went to the well one too many times. At this point, I’d just like a single stand alone issue of Doc Ock robbing a bank, lol. Does everything have to be a cataclysmic universe altering moment? It’s a joke at this point.

Marvel has quite a few stellar books.

I heard good things about the new Daredevil (and read Anthony’s spoilers). I just couldn’t do it knowing this volume will be dumped for another new #1 in 10, 20, 25 issues. The next volume will be volume 10!

It shouldn’t matter that much, but psychologically, it bugs me.

They killed most spec by having variants of the new characters.
