is his staff supposed to be broken?
I do see that the picture looks bent as opposed to the stock image. Hopefully that was just a quick draft piece for the picture.
This is a very good spec. The last Funko shop exclusive Mando was the NYCC shared exclusive:
This particular one dropped before the show premiered, so it was available almost all day as fans weren’t sure how the show would play out. It eventually did sell out (either later that night or the next morning), and once the show premiered, it became an instant grail.
I don’t know if today’s Mano will reach the same heights, but I think it has a good shot at hitting $50 down the line.
Another good anime POP to get:
There’s a Boruto gitd exclusive over on Wntertainment Earth right now. There’s also a glittery bunny legally blonde Elle Woods exclusive at Entertainment Earth.
@Anthony , not sure if you or your kids like Five Finger Death Punch, but they have a POP coming out soon:
Speaking of heavy metal acts, the little band from Iowa known as Slipknot is starting to see some movement in their POPs.
Slipknot bursted onto the scene in the late 90s, and they have established themselves as a bonafide metal act. Approaching almost 30 years since their formation in 1995, Slipknot continues to pump out albums and headline metal festivals.
Their POPs came out in 2020, in the times where supply chain issues were rearing around the corner. As a result, you may not have seen them around much. Maybe at a Hot Topic here and there. But now, 2 years later, they are heating up.
Front man Corey Taylor leads the pack, of course, but Craig Jones and Sid Wilson are not far behind:
In fact, on eBay, Sid is starting to sell at $20 already. There was also supposed to be a bloody version of Craig exclusive to Barnes and Noble, but it hasn’t come out yet. It was announced over a year ago, so who knows if it’s still in the works. You can find some online stores, like Big Apple Collectibles, selling pre-orders for it, but no official word on a release date.
Price error in your favor! This POP retails at $34.99, but PIAB has it for $14.99!
Edit: looks like they went ahead and updated the price.
Very Neko has it cheap, too.
Edit: Ditto. Price is now updated.
I saw Slipknot live in 1999, when they opened up for Black Sabbath at that years Ozzfest in Toronto, live on the lake. They were terrifying, lol. It was general admission, and I eventually made it to row 1.5 and was shot in the face by a water cannon that Ozzy was holding.
Best pic I could get with my disposal camera, at the time.
That’s freaking bad ass! I can only imagine what it must’ve been like seeing a young Slipknot.
Slipknot opened for Manson, and Manson opened up for Sabbath (original lineup). Slipknot was requesting that the crowd ‘hurt them’. After each request of ‘hurt’, a tidal wave of objects would be launched from the sea of people, that rained down on the band, hitting them in the face and everything, as they continued to perform, hard, wearing those psychopathic masks of theirs. Manson had on a black wedding dress that ‘belled’ out at the waist. He had hydraulic stilts on his legs, hidden under the ‘bell’ of his gown. As he did his set, he slowly got taller, and taller, as the hydraulic stilts extended. The stilts remained hidden the whole time, as the gown would ‘unfold’ and drop in unison with the stilts as they extended. Manson, by the end of his set, was walking around stage, about 25’ ft tall. Sabbath followed that with a good rock’n set. Ozzy dressed in a sequined skulled jumper with a firehose in hand.
For all the wrestling fans out there, a ton of exclusives went up for preorder:
