Here comes the Spider-Gwen!
Spider-Gwen became an instant key the moment she was introduced in the Edge of Spider-Verse series. Shortly after, Marvel was pumping out merchandise with her, and Funko was definitely eager to cash in on the frenzy. They made a few variants originally, and after Into the Spider-Verse came out, she received an updated look.
However, the original Funko was never more than retail price. Even her ITSV counterpart was outpacing her. Now, it seems the original is getting the love it deserves. Perhaps she was quietly vaulted, or maybe new fans are trying to collect the original line, but the common Spider-Gwen is starting to heat up:
We can even see where she was still a little above retail price at the beginning of the year, but she quickly spiked as February comes to a close:
Fans can definitely expect another version of Gwen for ITSV 2, so this could be a sign that Gwen fans are trying to complete their sets. Don’t overlook the 2 exclusives this POP had, one was Walgreen’s and the other was Hot Topic. Both are still a few dollars above retail, but if the common one continues to climb, expect these to as well:

I ordered 2 the day of release and meant to grab more over the weekend, but slept on it. whoops.
Vaulted alert. Looks like Funko is canceling all pre-orders for Grimmjow’s restock. Now’s a good time as any to check any collectible stores for him. PPG has him at $40, but he can easily shoot up to $100.

This is the mega ultra big one! Set your alarms. Fans have been waiting on this one for months. Expect website crashes and long checkout times.
