He’s been a repeat customer for me too. He low balls, but I’ve gotten him to bundle books for a better deal. The last few days he’s been messaging me about my Nightwing 54 as well (the Putri variant). He offered $65 I think? Which is a really low start point for negotiating on this book. So I told him $300. He said for that price he can buy many books in China. I told him that could be the case, but not in NYC ![]()
Then why aren’t you buying in china? Oh that’s right, you’re probably lying and buying these here and selling for much more profit there… ![]()
My friend! lol
I bought a small collection yesterday, mostly sight unseen. But, he said it was mostly 2010 Marvel, so I hoped for some Miles stuff. Sadly, no. But, I think it was still worth it. $80 for two short boxes that came out to be 293 books and 6 trades.
I mostly bought it because I knew this one trade was in there, and it seems like it sells for $60-80 alone.
I wanted to read 100 Bullets, so that was a nice add.
A few of these spawns were a bit bent, so not flawless. But, a nice bunch. I saw 172 and 173 and hoped for 174 (Gunslinger), but nope. Still good.
These are all in great condition. Not nearly as valuable as they were a couple years back.
This is a nothing Hulk issue, but damn that’s a fantastic cover. Keeping it just for that.
Then about 50 issues of Punisher Max, a bunch of Wolverine, Iron Man, 30 Captain America, Alias, Hulk, Daredevil, etc. If any of you collect those, let me know. I’m going to get them cleaned up a bit and added to my dollar boxes.
Overall, a fairly productive buy.
It’s that time of year to start scouring Craigslist for yard/garage sales.
It’s always good when the listing is misspelled and the Craigslist search engine from literally 1995
doesn’t show this listing for other comic scavengers searchers.
We’ll see what happens but I’ll be there bright and early. 10 minutes from my house and just caught it by chance.
Looking forward to your report!
Craigslist: Sure, there have been advances in html code best practices since 1999, but we don’t care.
