I Like What You Got! (LCS Finds)

Nice score! How much was the Darth Vader #3 / first Dr. Aphra?

It was 35 cents……crazy right??? Wish it was still $100 book

It will be again…one day…maybe.

Listed it for $40. I literally promised
Myself I would never buy another Star Wars book again. I have had to basically give them away. I’d be shocked if it sales for $40 honestly.

Star Wars is such a damaged and dying (I personally believes it’s already dead) franchise.

Hit up a shop I haven’t been to in years. They deal more with higher end books but do have current stuff to. I had exactly 20 mins and was in the area. Glad I stopped by.

You really can’t go wrong with Nightwing/Robin x Mora:

It feels like the “beefcake” covers are losing steam so I may just take down current listings and combine with these to make a few lots for quicker sales.

Putri covers have also lost some steam lately but this is a great cover regardless.

Had to go to the Maritimes (east coast of Canada) for work so hit a local comic shop there. First, I don’t think they believe in bags and boards here, they had literal hundreds of books without bags and boards stuffed into long boxes, not just new stuff, even back issues. Made me cringe but found these in good shape

The NSV Wolverine and Ultimate Spiderman are for the PC, I was missing 2nd Print, since I have the other printings and this is the first time I’ve run across one in the wild. The DCU is in horrid shape, truly brutal (of course it had a bag and board) but I was so excited to find it in the bins that I bought it anyway.

Incredibly, I didn’t find a single Mora Nightwing, they had plenty of back issue Nightwing, just not any Mora. I may go back and give it another go later in the week, I was a little worried on pricing since the back issues weren’t priced and when that happens I seem to always get the “We will just check online for the pricing!”. Instead they sold everything at cover price, even the 1990s cover for the Wolverine. I was tempted to see if I could find some old unpriced 20 cent Batmans or something.

Went to a few shops, mostly cover price but the Nightwing 113 was in a $1 bin, VFN but already sold it. Paid for everything.

Late Lobo books get $10-20, can’t believe the Fozzy book is $50. Chef is $15-20.

Mr/Mrs X still solid sales on the final 3 issues. #12 still fetches $30-40

Mora is :fire: some one on here mentioned the Batgirl #7, saw a $15 sale so one to watch.

Going to look for early Peacemaker appearances. Cena is making an underrated character popular.

Happy hunting!

Pretty much all Mr and Mrs X are worth buying if cheap. I just sold #7 for $35+ship.

I need to keep my eyes peeled!

Not a home run but a good inning of singles. Total of $20 spent (plus others I am not showing because they are boring to most like Witchblade 5)

Spec is long over on this one but I loved the series. $1 each

Early Alex Ross Terminator cover $1

Stan Sakai Anthropomorphic cover sells for like $20 got for $1

Dave Steven’s cover for $3 and Islands of Adventure sold for like $130 in NM. This is lower than that but cool to have.

Classic Star Wars for $2. Listed the Boba Fett cover for $10 as I already have one. Ultimate X I sold the crap out of when they were hot but never kept a copy. Keeping this Art Adams one

have sold this one for $20 each time I have found one

Underground hippy Comix. Paid $1 each. The Bode one is pretty rare but not in great shape.

I knew I had one! If it’s hot it may be time to list it, I didn’t realize they were so popular now.

This week’s fun pickups at my shop followed by going to a con this weekend.

These were cover price at my shop. Already listed the Muppet Venoms and have sold. Finally found World’s Finest. I had searched this shop before for this book but couldn’t find it the first time. It was there all along all this time but really had to do some digging in different spots.

Next, headed to a con this weekend New Mutants 98 2nd print and Ultimate Spidey were $3, ok.

My best pickups, these were all $1. Yes IDW Joes and Dave Stevens are still available in the wild for $1. Really stoked about the Putri Red Hoods. I keep finding the Avengers Incursion. I’ve sold about 20 copies of that book when it got hot, so happy to find it again as I think we’ll see the Incursion in the next few MCU movies.

I love Warren Louw so much. His Harley and Ivy was gorgeous. Middleton was nice also. For a dollar can’t resist. These are for the pc.

Last day before the wife is back from travel…kids didn’t have after school activities…Decided to take the afternoon off and hit a few shops about an hour away…one I e never been to before. Sort of Wednesday Warrior thing, but more that today worked out.

Picked up a few comic books. About 50, to be exact.

Hit a couple of other shops in area, there are a total of 7 comic shops in this province. I’ve now been to 6 of them, I’ll hit the last one tomorrow. These are the books I found today:

I’ve found the G.I. Joe #155 1/2 twice now in dollar bins, granted they were about 1500 km apart, I guess it ends up there because it was a FCBD? The Wolverine was half-off, even if it wasn’t I would have bought it, one of the pieces I needed.

A couple of CHU regulars for cover and I pick up any Warhammer 40000 in dollar bins.

I didn’t manage to find the Sampler during this Batman Day so grabbed a copy, I didn’t even know there was a 2nd print? The other Batmans are in good shape for dollar bin fodder.

A 1947 pulp for $5? Sure! Its in pretty rough shape but still grabbed it. One of the Dan Mora’s that doesn’t go for $100 but glad to have it, the same for the very late run NSV Wolverine.

I find that book all the time for a buck or two… I think you’re right people see FDBD and don’t look it up.

Ya’ll have been finding some fire these past couple of days!

Start with a little Red Hood.

Finally found one of these The Hill Mora variants.

Had a ton of Geiger Ground Zero. Limited to 1 of each, including variants. So I grabbed the cover C of issue #1 (a 1:25 variant - none on eBay I can find). Snuck the two 80 ph giants in. Been wanting to find this “Cerebus” cover variant forever. It’s going in the PC.

The only new releases I grabbed today.

These books need no introduction here.

And let’s finish it off with a little House of Secrets 85…it’s in tough shape (bottom staple detached) but a 15 cent Neal Adams cover for $1!!

Other than the House of secrets ($1) and the Geiger 80 Pg Giants ($9) everything was about cover price. Maybe a few $2.99 books were $4. On average it was $5/book.

I’ll be going back Sunday to pick up more Nightwing and Geiger. They had a stack of Junkyard Joes too.
