I Like What You Got! (LCS Finds)

I don’t recall how many shops I hit this past week, but most I only had about 10-15 minutes to go to work. So I made the most of it…going to throw them all together here.

First some random books. FF 12 is the first Doom-a-saur and alternate earth with marvel characters as Dino’s. I never seem to find this in the wild anymore, but like finding it.

Witching Hour was a higher grade skull cover. The transformers annual is 2012 C cover…not much history on eBay, so taking a chance it may have some scarcity and value.

More random covers. I mistook the Rwby/JL as Ruby #6. I couldn’t pass up a Darwyn Cooke silk spectre cover for $1.

And more random books. I could not find any history on this German early Pokémon comic…taking a chance it has some value.

Some early Batgirl Talaski covers, plus some sought after variants.

Found a few beefcake/Nighwing covers. This Superman 22 seems to be heating up.

Can’t pass on Mr & Mrs X staples. Issue 12 is the money book.

And the rest of the money books.

At those stickered prices you should get a nice little return on your purchases.

I got a lot of listing to do, for sure.

The most I paid was $12 for the Tec 1007…which was odd because 1006 was $4. Not sure what that was about…but figured I can still squeeze a little profit.

The book I’m still trying to figure out why it is is the Oimemon 2000 movie adaptation, which is in German. Never see. This before…and none listed on eBay or MCS. So for $10 figures I’d grab it. It’s gotta have some value as an early Pokemon.

Otherwise I paid cover or less for everything else (plus 25 cents which I assume covered the bag and board):

Man, it is really getting dry out there… a lot of the books we sell well are DC books from an era that shops just weren’t ordering much DC :man_shrugging:

Let’s get that hunt list updated :rotating_light:

I just sold my last copy of this tim drake robin variant and found this one the same day, in much better condition too.

Same could be said now about Marvel’s covers and shops not ordering much Marvel…

Honestly I’m so out of the loop with the new stuff. I tried getting back into FOC spec for those few weeks when indy books were jumping but I remembered quickly why I don’t do that anymore.

Which marvel books are you stocking up on these days?

None.

Although I keep my eye out for nice Gambit/Rogue variant covers.

Same here. My metro is just wiped entirely out. Even shops a little further out that I’ve hit have zero of the books I’m hunting.

Quiet the past few weeks for pickups. But a couple decent grabs for under $10 ($20-$30 flips).

I never find anything of value at Half Price Books. Never. Just run fillers if I’m lucky.

I was giddy to find this one, only to get home and realize this is the dumb Page Punchers reprint.

Oh well, I did find this one there, so that still sorta counts! $2.

I found some, “Tarot: Witch of the Black Rose,” at HPB today. The book where one big chunk of the readership is apparently women who love Wicca, and the other chunk would be dudes who love curvy witches (plus a mix of women who love curvy witches and dudes who love Wicca, everyone is welcome in the Tarot fanbase).

Good catch, Tarot individual issues go for good prices and can be hard to find. Also Jim Balent’s Catwoman is still my all time favorite, probably the nostalgia of being a teenager when those books were released lol

First time visiting a store a few weeks ago. I did find this German copy of the Pokemon movie.

No clue as to its worth. Has a bit of wear…no sales or listings I can find.

I always pick this up when I find older copies especially. I have almost a full run plus dupes for selling.

Went to Hershey PA to see Nate Bargatze today. Good show. Anyway dropped my son and his girlfriend off at the amusement park. Had lunch with my wife and then off to the show. Hit a little shop in Palmyra Pa and got the following books:

Red Hood 34
Tim Drake Robin 1B
Tim Drake Robin 3 Mora
Tim Drake Robin 4 Mora
Tim Drake Robin 6 Mora

All cover price. Too tired from the two hour drive home to re-bag and list. Thats a tomorrow problem.

I’m taking the family to Hershey in three weeks. I now know what shop is cleaned out so I won’t bother, lol.

There are other shops around. Heads up. He has a couple of collections in there that are disorganized. I don’t have time to go through them. Also, most of his back issues are gone. He used to have a ton but he does Facebook live sales and I think he sold most of his stock.

Facebook marketplace deal didn’t work out on Friday. Met with them and their stuff was somewhat decent that they wanted way too much money for what they had. I went to a Comic shop I don’t go to super often because it’s a little further away from my house, however, cause I was relatively closer from this meeting. Picked up some random stuff that’s not too crazy but one really notable comic! I found for cover price a, “Red Hood: The Hill,” 5, Dan Mora variant. It’s really crisp so I’m debating either getting it graded or I’ll just sell it on eBay. Threw it on there for $95 whilst I decide what to do for sure.

$1 bin pickups yesterday.

I’m a little surprised this Archie cover isn’t more popular…seems like an innuendo…

And don’t turn your nose up to Indy blank covers…some are decent flips if found cheap.
