My fav is Ghosts #2 which does happen to be Cardy.

the horror stuff is great, all of it. Don’t sleep on the Charltons, some really good covers on a lot of the titles.

Was off at a showcase with my son Joe all weekend. Got a chance to get him in front of some college scouts. But all that didn’t stop me from doing some dirt bag dollar bin diving. Here is what I got and why:
I never pass up 12 DC solo books for 12 or 15 cents. The other thing I like to pick up is video game adaptations.
Seriously can’t pass up 10 cent covers from the 1950’s for a buck
RWBY was $1 Fireborn has some heat but was cover price. These are flips.
I love Captain Atom, especially the Charlton stuff. I grab it any time I see it. Jurassic Park is for the run.

For my Witchblade Run. I have put together a set for very cheap. I loved the book. Greenish one is a Turner Another Universe variant. Second time I found one this week.

Suicide Squad 1 for a buck. Heck yeah. GI Joe is a later issue I will sell. I can’t remember if I have ex machina #1 or not so I grabbed it.

Went to a concert last week near Lake Winnepesaukee (NH). Picked these up in a little shop (Shield Comics & Games).
Very small collection of comics, but decent prices.
Grabbed some McFarlane Spider-Man’s from his self title run for $3 each…all look to be 9.8s. Also grabbed this strong 9.8 contender ASM 312 for $25.

A few small pickups. Went yesterday to my LCS just prior to closing and surprisingly they still had 2 copies of AB 22 Quintana. This was about 15 mins before closing so they must’ve had a lot of copies (they limit 1 copy per person on new releases on Wednesdays).
Some beefcakes.
Found some Absolute Green Lanterns #1 at another shop for $2 a pop. Cheap spec to see if it does anything.
Some $1 books. Mcfarlane newsstand for $1 ok, looks like a 9.8 contender with some work as well as the MOTU #2 (looks mint). Some fax for $1 for the read. Also IDW GIJoe ARAH and Gwenpool bondage for $1 ok.
My best find of the day. DC Comics Presents #87 for 50 cents. Don’t know what it was doing in the 50 bins but this copy looks great, super clean. Looks like a 9.6 at worst. Was looking for a copy of this as I believe at some point Superboy Prime will be introduced into the DCU. Was not expecting to find such a high grade copy and in newsstand for 50 cents.
EDIT: Just realized just now that it has a $1.60 retail price, which means it’s a Canadian Price Variant! Hell yeah!!!

Can someone with a pricing subscription like GPA or GoCollect let me know what the last sold prices are for DC Comics Presents 87 in a Canadian Price newsstand? I can’t find any recent sales, it’s rare AF.
Only 15 on the CGC census with 1 in 9.8 and 4 in 9.6. I might “Bronzevill Comics” this book and try a prescreen.

Thanks I’m definitely sending this in for grading. So few copies of this on the census. 15 copies is like golden age territory.
How did you miss all those beefcakes before at your LCS? You think they just brought out backstock recently?
I went to 2 shops yesterday. The one with the AB is my main LCS but I went later in the day on my way back. I knew they have a limit of 1 copy per person in Wednesday and I didn’t want to line up on Absolute Batman Day. Went there 15 mins before closing and the store was packed to the gills. Could only imagine how busy it was throughout the day. No thanks.
Went to another one that was out of my way. I saw those Nightwing 95 swimsuits there before but it hadn’t popped yet. Didn’t want to get stuck with them. Saw that they were selling routinely for $30 now so that was the reason I went there in case I didn’t find anything I could pick those up. Saw some extra books there so it was a good trip.

Was doing some Dollar Bin Dirt Bag digging. Guy came in with a collection. Low grade. Older stuff. One I could not pass up for the money.

Got 22 books for $88 so roughly $4 each when you do it that way. Needless to say some of what I picked was worth more than the $4 each and some not so much.
