Coupls of Skaar #1 I left behind variant covers and 2nd prints but LCS is having a 50% sale in 2 weeks so I’ll grab those then.
With the books you pick up in SA, you must be the only customer…or at least the only one that buys back issues.

Think it’s more a combination of few LCS in the country compared to size of the country. I’m just lucky to live centrally to them all. The store was packed with people because of FCBD but I was the only one looking in back issue bins everyone else was buying new comics that came in, trades and figures. Lots of people with Urban Legends #6 but that book is still cover price here
There are only 2 LCS with a decent selection of back issues and none of it is online so you have to go to the store which means collectors in Cape Town, Durban etc just can’t go there and hunt. I can only assume the local people just don’t have a clue of what to look for because I can safely leave books there and wait for sales to buy them.
Most of my sales go to people outside of the province so I assume its just cause they can’t hunt for issues. I put one of the Punishers #218 up on Facebook for $120 and it sold in a few minutes so there are people out there wanting them at least.

Well today was community day around my area. They have yard sales and a local church had a flea market. It was nice out, so what could go wrong…
I picked these Star Wars comics for $5 from the first vendor I saw.
A few minutes later saw some toys and a box of comics. I was talking to the young man about some of the toys and then started going through the comics. Then all of a sudden these guy comes along and bumps into me and starts grabbing the comics that I was going through. I told him politely that I am not finished and could you wait a minute. He says ok and continues to grab the comics. Then I snapped and we had some words. He then left. I found three ASM #365 for $5.00 a piece.
I started looking again at the different vendors and came across some other older DC comics but they were in bad shape. As I was going toward another part of the flea market I ran into the Jerk again and used a Jedi mind trick on him, lol. I told him there are some old DC comics over there(and that I was looking for new comics) and that is where he went. I had noticed a table behind him in another row filled with comics. I scored and got the Weapon X comics #72 to #84 for $15. I got the other three comics for a $1.00. So I guess the moral of the story is not to be rude…

I continue to scour yard sales, flea markets, garage sales every single weekend.
What I have obtained over the years is noteworthy to say the least.
It is the final frontier for not just deals, but steals.

Dug a few things up while visiting a new town. Each were $3-4. A few first apps, and I just really dig Umbrella Academy. I seem to rarely find UA issues at shops.

Was surprised to see the Draco VHS variant as they only had one copy of the book in the shelf.

Hit one of the honey holes. This place doesn’t board their books much so most are not in NM shape. But some interesting finds.
Been looking for key FF books in Marvel’s Greatest Comics. Will keep looking for better shape copies, but these are fine for readers. Might have some resale value when Warlock debuts.
McFarlane Marvel Tales are hot lately. 224 I’ll list separately, but the others aren’t is great shape so May list them as a lot. Will keep 190 as a read and it’s decent shape.
Few random books. ASM 359 looks to be 9.8 potential.

Stopped at a store in the mall since they sometimes have books from the past year if they didn’t have heat out of the gate.
This store doesn’t get 50 new comics a week, even with subscribers…yet there was a King Spawn 1:50 for $8 on the rack…and it’s been there since Wednesday.
Must have gotten it in error and didn’t know what it was…yoink!!!

For the first time in months… I have a moment to drive and check 3 LCS about 40-60min away. Going to do some digging for some “hot books” and see what luck I can have.

Nice pick ups. 
I think the McFarlane MTs are sleepers. I know they’re reprints but the covers are cool. The X-Men and Doc Ock issues are nice.
I’m not sure why one is hologram and one isn’t, both are direct edition but I snagged one copy of each: X-Men 36. Please excuse the glare.
I also snagged a copy of Powers of X #1 outta the buck bin. Now I just gotta find the other 11 issues for cheap.
