I Like What You Got! (LCS Finds)

My shop had 4 holofoil and 1 standard so I made sure to snag the standard. Maybe it was ordered in smaller quantities? Who knows, it was 90s and holograms and neon colors were all the rage.

Kids back in the day could not afford the additional 1 Dollar and 50 cents for the holofoil…

Just pick-up yesterday. It was on-hold for me since two weeks ago for cover price.

Yes please!

Also grabbed this book. Not for spec, but just looked like an interesting story.

Paid $6, but cheapest copy on eBay is $60! I didn’t know this until just now.

Morrison’s run on, “Animal Man,” was stellar.

I just picked up one last week for $4. I pick it up whenever I see it because it’s one of my favorite issues in that run. I had no idea it got up so high.

I got a copy a few years back for $5. It’s a great story. I had no idea it was that much lately! I wonder why?

Did Crafty appear later in the series? Or only appearance?

As far as I’m aware, that’s his only appearance.

He is killed in the issue. It’s a great breaking the 4th wall issue where Crafty escapes a Looney Tunes style universe and into the “real” DC universe only to have the final scene pull back to see the creator inking the DC universe. Very meta. and typical of pretty much everything Grant Morrison does. You either love it or hate it.

For $2 I’ll take it

I love it as a big Morrison fan. The only Morrison work I ever outright hated was, “Happy.” It seemed like Morrison trying way too hard to be like Ennis.

Batman R.I.P. and the Return of Bruce Wayne ruined me for comics for about 4 years. I just walked away in disgust. Took a hiatus.

I liked his stuff before then. Cant recall what read after that. Tom King and Greg Capullo got me back into Batman.

Don’t you mean Snyder and Capullo?

I liked Synder and Jock and Francavilla (I maybe spelled that wrong) more. That Detective Comics run was straight fire with his writing and their art. The New52 stuff with Capullo was fun too, though.

I meant King (Batman) and Snyder (DN Metal). Although both started hot and drew me in, then waned toward the end.

Couple neat finds today. Dig the Moon Knights. All three were $10 total. The colorist on #13, though. “Yeah, Daredevil is red. I’ll just make him solid red.”

I’m originally from a town called Cumberland, MD. It’s another 45minutes away from Hagerstown. It never seemed that bad growing up at all. Hagerstown was where everyone went to shop. But I’ve heard things Have gone down hill since I left many years ago.

Hit my antique store honey hole. Nothing earth shattering, but these were all $12 out the door as they were having a Labor Day sale.
The Haunt #7 goes for 3x that alone.
I love the Nam series and the final issues are pretty tough to find… especially in beautiful shape like these. I can’t ever pass up Apocalypse issues either.
