That Iron Man cover is ghost at my local places.
Yeah 2 shops said they didnt even order it.
Because most of the time themed variants sit for ages on the shelf.
Completely understand but Miles is hot. The cover is hot. I dont get how they didnt order it

Nobody was asking for it so they didn’t bother. I’m in the same boat… I’d only buy inventory I knew I was going to move… before FOC, nobody cared… after FOC with a little pumping and speculators talking about it, demand kicked in…

I applaud the retailers who buy what they know they can sell… when retailers act like consumers, it usually causes more harm than good.

Rahzzah’s been putting out amazing covers for a while now. I’m glad to see one of them getting some attention.
I really liked his thor #15 predator cover but only saw it after it came out and I literally can’t find it anywhere for any price. I haven’t even seen a picture of the of the physical comic, just stock image.
All the predator comics and theme covers were cancelled or pushed back weren’t they?

Quite a few of the Iron Man #12 around here but at both shops in my area they were behind the counter and priced at $24.99 and $19.99 respectively. They will just sit there, not sell, and be on clearance or the discount bins soon enough.
Spec/heat or not, book didn’t appeal to me before…doesn’t now. To each their own of course.

Yeah, it seems no smaller local stores ordered it, but it was the top ordered book on FOC that week, so I guess that means speculators bought a lot of them to resell, grade and hold.
I fell asleep and only preordered 3 copies online, couldn’t find any more locally.
I found one at a shop in the mall. My main LCS didn’t have it, or someone claimed it before opening. They usually order 1 of each open order. They had 3 cover As though.

yeah the predator variants and series got cancelled, I think right now theres a legal battle for the rights hence why they got pulled
I know the LCS can do what they want, but I think it sucks that they priced a regular variant that high on the day of release. I would not buy at any price above regular price !
Most LCS’s I patronize, increase the price in the second week. I’m OK if they price their ratio variants on day of release.
My two cents …

Plenty of those available here but $15 sales doesn’t make it worth picking up, maybe if it starts to get more demand.

Keep an eye on it and if it takes off, then you have a source, assuming your LCS doesnt hike up the price.
I do think its a great cover. I dont think its price will go up astronomically, as I think a lot of good speculators caught on (NOT ME 
). So if you are patient you’ll be able to snag one at a decent, affordable price (maybe not regular price though).
