How good a deal was the ASM 607?
Obviously needs a reholder. But it’s an
Older CGC slab which grading was more tight back then…and pressing wasn’t as popular…if the book looks not damaged consider a press and regrade. It may make 9.8 today.
I know from SA that’s expensive, so when the time is right.
Yup thats exactly why I got it 
shockingly the book even has grader notes, slight indent on spine, I cannot see anything but I’ll get it pressed and then resubmit, hopefully comes back a 9.8. It was $45 and after seeing it in person I took the chance on it.
Book looks perfect to me so luckily no additional damage from the crack.
In the process of moving to the UK in December so I’ll hopefully be doing my first 25 sub in a few months this book will definitely be part of the submission.

So here in Rhode Island they held this event called Near Mint expo for the first time. Was $10 to get in and full of vendors. A ton of people selling cards and sports cards but a good amount selling books. Roy Thomas was also there signing. These are what I picked and managed to score some deals such as Sikc 7 and 8 2nd prints for $25 and 1st Christine Spar Grendel for $8. Avengers Arena books were all newsstands for $1 each

60% off sale at my LCS so picked these up for $20, I’ve been looking for this Momoko for ages they always told me they didn’t order enough only to find it hiding behind a book on the wall.

I love those foil street fighter covers, I’ve bought a couple of them over the years, Darkstalkers as well had some awesome ones.

Hit one of my honey holes today. Not as good a haul as I’ve done in past trips, but ok.
Will have to add a few of these to the comics heating up (or comics gradually rising) as a few surprised me what they sell for now, like Dr. Aphra 40.
I like the GI Joe painted covers. 58 is the new Cobra Commander. 61 reminds me of Batman 368…not sure if it’s an homage or just coincidence.

Picked these up at a con yesterday. The FF 1 is a newsstand which I know @ToddW can appreciate. Plucked it out of a dollar bin.
To add some spec to the post, I like ASM 253 for the 1st app of The Rose, Kingpins son.

A few different stops.
- Small, new shop run that has little inventory and no new comics. Not sure it will last but whatever. A few nice picks and he loved that I paid cash. The deadly genesis value paid for the lot at $50 total.
- Small little con (very small). $30 for the lot.
- Massive antique festival at our County Fairgrounds. $2 a book. Very excited about the Marvel Boy & Hughes books. I’ve never found that Hughes She-Hulk in the wild…grabbed 2. That horizontal New X-Men annual has never been an easy find for me either.

All these B&W cover look the same to me anyway…I had to stare at it for a bit before I knew what the problem was.
I assume every issue 10 had this “misprint”
Issue 10 1:10 is the error.
DAMMIT … I thought they just had the wrong picture as a placeholder when I preordered.
