Got it off ebay. Did not know that was his practice!
Yup… it sure is
There was a feeding frenzy on Luca Pizzaro’s War of the Bounty Hunters Jabba the Hutt pages today, but I managed to snag the last remaining page depicting Deva Lompop:
It wasn’t my first choice, I would have preferred one where she is more the focus. My primary goal was getting a page with Deva from her first appearance, though. I’m happy with it.
cost?, seems like they were charging a premium
Ugh, I don’t want to say. $950. It was more than I wanted to pay. I’m going to have to sell some comics to feel good about it.
yea they knew what they had, and charged for it
I may have been charged a bit much, but I see people paying more for less in this market. At the end of the day, I’ll enjoy looking at it every day at work.
nice, i was surprised the book hasnt gotten more heat
If any high rollers are interested, there is a Martin Simmonds Department of Truth Original Art drop over at Cadence today:
I mean, Regan was the devil, so it makes sense.
No, I’m not trying to start a political debate, I’m making a joke.
…that is my opinion for reasons that would take way too long to go into, however.
well this turned out to be a great pickup
Yeah, you just kinda fell furry ass backward into that one, huh?
bought it thinking i would have to hold for 10-20 years to get payday, got an offer today on comicartfans offering 1k. it was listed as nfs but i changed it to 25k for the lolz. incase some one wants it bad enough
Geez, what a lowball offer. Noooooope!

My Luca Pizzaro page from WOBH Jabba the Hutt #1 came in today. I like this page more and more now that I’m looking at in hand.
There’s a small blue line sketch of a Zabrak in the bottom right. Looks like he was studying the Zabrak straight on before illustrating him looking over his shoulder.
Then there are perspective lines all across in blue line.
Finally some stuff that was left behind when layering the background and foreground elements during inking:
How can I forget this one - from the 1st appearance of L3-37, which becomes the consciousness of the Millennium Falcon. I am still trying to find out if there are any other pages from the same issue in which L3-37 was rendered traditionally (rather than in digital art form):
Lando: Double or Nothing #1 Pg 16, in Myron Tay's Other Artists Comic Art Gallery Room
Faqqqq this is amazing
