I’m gonna guess they’ll be done by end of year… when every publisher starts doing them, people will grow tired of them really quickly, it’s human nature.
You underestimate how much people like to casually gamble, even at a young age (ie Pokemon cards).
All Spears has to do is once in a while announce he’s putting in tickets for an original sketch cover 1 of 1 in his blind bags and he’ll keep this gravy train going on forever.

Nah, when people keep buying and keep missing out on the harder ratios, piling up duplicates in the process… they grow tired really quickly. People like to gamble but they’ll move on to something else I think.
I agree with this assessment; however, with one caveat. Spears has already says he’s plans to do an annual blind bag for Monsters. I’m thinking those will last a few years.

He’s the blind bag king so I could see those going for a bit, albeit with diminishing returns.
How many artists get hot over night almost, everyone goes nuts and then the demand dies as quickly as they got hot… seems like the norm in the comic book world.
I also think we’re kind of in a lull right now. There’s nothing really going on inside the books to cause speculation so people are jumping on cover art and the artists. It’ll likely cycle around…

Maybe this will fade a bit, but I think (like foils, conventional. Exclusives and retailer variants) they’ll be around for a while….
I hope Spears and everyone else does a Mystery Box with Blind bags in the Mystery box.
Now how cool would that be?

Not very. Unless he mixes in special mystery/variant blind bags that you can’t get elsewhere with regular ones….then maybe you could flip the special variant blind bags and keep the regular ones…
Otherwise I don’t see it as any different than wrapping them in tissue paper in box.

Then put the whole mystery box into its own blind bag, and have chase boxes with remarques on them or foil accents.
