Yes. Definitely a favorite there with Spider-Punk and the Cowboy one…whose name I can never recall. Unfortunately the horse is not scaled to size. Need to pick up a better horse and find decals to make it into spider-horse….or whatever its name is.
And if you order on Black Friday, it come with the limited Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod™ which reminds me a few years back, the 1989 Batmobile set came with a smaller version LEGO 40433 of the Batmobile that went for decent money if you flipped it since they’re only available with the main set purchases.
Yeah, you’ll have to buy it on the secondary market though. But I did the same thing with the '89 Batmobile set that came with the smaller one. Instead of flipping it to cut the cost, I wanted to keep it NIB so I actually bought one off eBay new so I could put it together cause it now sits on a bookshelf.
I’m on the fence myself. I like Star Trek but not a huge fan myself. I did like TNG back in the day though, it was the one Trek show I watched besides the originals with Shatner.
I’m still contemplating the Goonies set as well which I’d definitely buy before the Trek one. But I like when they do great freebies on Black Friday and throughout the year, those become limited and go up in value. I’ve got a few sets I’m just waiting for the right time to sell as you know… “supplies” dry up and people still seek them out with consistent demand over time. I’ve learned it’s a bit slow in the LEGO world but patience pays off.
I really wish some of my sets I could part with the mini-figures that come with them though. But I hate breaking up sets, I like keeping them fully intact, even the ones I build and put on the shelves.
I just want the mini figs and shuttle craft. So I’m wondering what a crew-less enterprise would fetch in eBay…
In thinking the set of figures may be $100…shuttle craft $50? Might be a better avenue. I don’t have shelf space for an enterprise. I still don’t know where to put my Razorcrest…
Maybe we should create a topic to setup arrangements for those who might want a set but willing to part with the freebie sets and mini-figures. LEGO Purchase Partnerships…
Like for the For Sale and Trade but members can post, who wants to go in with me on this to get what you might want without the full cost.
The tend to hold their value. I anticipate a lot of collectors who are also Star Trek fans are gonna keep theirs. But yeah, will be interesting to watch. The smaller '89 Batmobile they gave out with the full size one years back still held it’s value and has slightly gone up since.
Gotta give LEGO credit where’s its due, if they claim a set is exclusive during Black Friday Sale or other sets, I’ve never seen them “release” those giveaway sets later on.
