My first report…I went a bit heavy but am a big horror fan so it all appealed to me.
Of note, I’m very glad I pre-ordered (and my shops didn’t do me wrong). I visited four shops today (not for blind bags per se, but because I was simply out & looking for back issues).
Very few of these available: 1 shop had zero, 2nd had 5, third had 3, fourth had around 20.
First shop actually irritated me…none out and when I asked they said the owner had a bunch of requests so he set them aside. I know it’s a first world problem, but I was there at open & told them it really isn’t a great business move. Heck, at least have one on the wall for release day…these aren’t even a “flip”. Just bad business. Because I was irritated I put my digging skills on over drive, broke out CHU cheat list and went to town. I’ll post that in LCS thread.
Soo… here’s my results… really kind of strange… technically 3 1:700 pulls. No foils though. 6 dupes. Glad I got the shark & gpk ones. I have a few more incoming and will post results. I’ll just buy the scarecrow, wine glass, and Stevens ones from eBay. Cheaper than to keep gambling given I have a good chunk.

I’ve got maybe 13 total coming from some different sources. I’ll see what I get, and if I see a copy or two in stores, maybe grab an extra?

At least you can get a refund. I’ve backed a couple of Kickstarters where they just vanished with no game/comic/etc.
That said, it is a bit rude.

For a 1:700, not commanding much of a premium. Sitting at $100 on eBay.
But I suppose there are 500 of them out there…of each one.
So it’s 1:700 for a specific design you are looking for, it’s 1:140 for ANY type of that design…
These eBay descriptions are way misleading on rarity…

I’m not complaining, but I personally would have been happier with anything other than the Night of the Living Dead ones. I think they are sort of lame lol.

I’m seeing the glow in the dark may have an outer protective cover…that could add a few grams.
I assume the foils may have it too.
If anyone gets one of these maybe weight it out against a regular cover if you can.
Did you guys check inside to see if you had a golden ticket?
Technically it’s an Unholy grail….
I opened 6 bags today… only one that was interesting was the Frankenstein’s head foil. I immediately put it up on ebay. Still searching for the 2 GPK covers and the Chamber of Chills homage.
Another was found, down to 11 Unholy Grails.
One thing that is sort of weird with Spears is how many of the so called “media types”, just really spend so much time fawning over him. Even quite a few of what I consider big money players in the hobby constantly obsessed with him and promoting him.
I don’t know if they are on the hunt for exclusive signings, access to his original art, etc. It’s just sort of over the top imo.
I like his stuff, he’s clearly making a killing, I’m certainly supporting him. I don’t know… anyone else sort of like…jeez…calm down a bit lol.

I ain’t that invested in his products. I buy what I like out of his open order covers. I’ve enjoyed the read so far too.
So I’m won’t be butt hurt in the least, no matter where this all goes. Just doing my own thang over here.

They’re latching on to him because there’s money to be made. I don’t trust a single thing these influencers have to say.
