MCS ended their listing for A. They must see the spec value
No cause we probably bought early enough
Might not be at that point now, but the scales tip quickly and then it trends. It takes time for organic sell outs at the shops. And donāt forget, thereās many that donāt have a shop to go to in person. Tons of people donāt have access to physical shop.
Thatās trueā¦most of us tend to be on this stuff. Will be interesting to see where it falls after the weekend and such. Iām just genuinely curiousā¦I hope it doesnāt come across as being argumentative. Not my intent whatsoever.
Itās on their website now for $6.99.
Over at Midtown, the Panosian variant and Jim Lee foil are no longer available. Every other cover is still there at cover price with no stated limit.
Edit to add: I checked several other online shops and most open order (non exclusive) covers are sold out, especially the 1A. It does appear this book is doing well.
I believe the term was āwill beā in dollar bins.
āAreā insinuates they have no value currently. Itās very possible demand may outweigh supply in the early going.
Eventually all the speculators and shops holding back copies being them out, thereās still books in shipment, whether it be to shops or customersā¦subsequent printings and TPB show upā¦.etc.
Thatās what people need to be considering as a possibility.
To each their own. Iām not a a high stakes gambler, personally.
I did. But my shop doesnāt order more than one or two shelf copies, or limit new purchases. Someone could have easily called up and said āgive me all you gotā. Such behavior just feeds into the FOMO aspect.
Iāll call in a bit and find out, though. It was odd.
Ok. Sold out. Guy was kind of a jerk to me.
āI donāt know how many I ordered or when it sold out. I donāt have any.ā
I was very polite about it.
Lol. I guess maybe he got a few other calling about it perhaps He just wanted me off the phone.
I picked up three. One to keep. Listed one now slightly above going rate. Will list the other one based on how prices go.

I think that was cause they will be able to keep more money knowing they will all sell quickly on their site
I never said I was wiseā¦
I think you are!
man, you are obsessedā¦
Supply is drying up. I talked with my one shop and he said he was shocked it only took a day to sell 75 copies he ordered for the wall. He was worried heād gone too heavy on it!
I went to the 2 biggest shops in my city today looking for more Abs Batman. The shop that had 200+ copies and all variants on Wednesday when I got there were down to 2As, I scooped them up. Went to the other shop and they were sold out. Customers were walking in asking for it and the shop owner said he had no idea so many people wanted it.
Itās officially time to panic.

You know what could get REALY interesting is the Frank Miller variant. As heāll be at NYCC, however his signature window may be tight.
As awful as the NYCC exclusive is, I can see that book selling out for people trying to capitalize on him also being there for witnessed signatures.
