Anybody picked up Snyderâs Canary 1, and Almost Dead 1 from Ablaze? I feel like thereâs some non spec good reads this week.
Snyderâs Canary (the entire story) is available to read for free if you have Amazon Prime as part of Comixiology prime free read (I think thatâs name)

I picked up both Canary and Almost dead. Picked up some older GI Joe for $1. Some more Star Wars Legacy for a $1 and some books to sell.
If you read it, let us know how it is. This one just has Walking Dead all over it⊠Even the main regular cover reminds me of Walking Dead.
I love post apocalyptic and zombie stories so was looking forward to Almost Dead. That said it wasnât a very good read for the first issue. Basically Sara the protagonist flies in to Maryland to visit family, gets into an accident by hitting her head at the airport bathroom. She wakes up to find the world infested with zombies in a post apocalyptic world. And thatâs it, thatâs the whole story for the first issue.
Now as I remembered it, Walking Dead #1 started off the same way with Rick getting into an accident and waking up in a zombie infested hospital.
A little disappointed with the first issue as it was a quick read and barely anything happens but I remembered Walking Dead started almost the same way. Although I donât think the writing is as strong as WD to hook in readers. The art is excellent though and itâs only 4 issues with Ablaze so I might stick with it. Read it if you like the post apocalyptic zombie genre, for anyone else I would say skip it.

So, Rick gets shot and goes into a coma 2 weeks prior to the zombie outbreak, wakes up to find the world full of zombies⊠yeah, Iâve read this already⊠next please!

Did they reveal the new GR in the issue?
No.
But the entire issue was about Talia, both past and present. At the end, she gets dragged down into hell.
Well that could be a candidate, The next GR looked male in the preview.

Got shut out today at my LCSâs. Well, they had one boom (Mandalorian #8 Concept variant) but it had spine damage so I passed.
A lot of Star Wars books had spine damage this weekâŠIssue 42 was particularly bad.
My Vader #42 from last week was real bad. All the copies my shop got were in bad shape, so they gave it to me for free. Same thing happened with one of the recent SW Insider Foils. Sucks that it happens, but appreciate my shopâs approach with these damaged issues.
